*Cadences POV*

The new jacket I bought was definitely big on me but comfortable something nice to wear after dance.  But there had been a major issue lately my vision was getting much worse.  So my mum took me to an eye doctor.  I sat in an old stiff chair fiddling with the sleeve of my jacket.  It smelled familiar and right as my name was called I realized.

It fucking smells like that man at the booth.

I went through the exam the same one that I've gone through hundreds of times.  "Now we're going to up your prescription and see if that helps dear but if your vision continues to decrease by next year you could be legally blind" she spoke with little emotion.  My mind started racing thinking about how I wouldn't be able to dance anymore.  I tried to talk but just little stutters cam out of my mouth and tears filled my eyes.

My doctor spoke to my parents but everything was drowned out.  The thing I've worked towards my entire life gone! Fucking gone! I stood up walked out not caring anymore I just wanted to go home.  I heard my parents yelling after me.  "I'll be at home.." I just muttered and they stopped yelling.  I walked past the stall in Kensington Market and just went in.  Sitting were the same men if seen a few days earlier.

"Oh hello darling" he spoke sweetly but I wasn't in the mood.  "Can we talk about something?" He stood up coming towards me.  "What?" I felt like crying again this was all far too much.  "No need to be bitchy love...now Roger you see accidentally sold you my jacket and I'd be willing to pay you back or-" I just took it off and set in in his arms. "I don't care have it." I went back to running my fingers over the different fabrics.

*Freddie's POV*

Why does she always look fit to cry? I placed my hand gently on her shoulder feeling a little spark at the touch "You-you can keep it if that would make you happy."  I offered anything at this point wanting to see her smile just once.  But to my dismay she shook her head.  I wondered why the hell she just kept touching all the clothes.

I looked through the clothes as well hoping to find something that could please her.  I found a pastel yellow jumper with daises that seemed to be in good condition.  I didn't remember hanging it but that wasn't important.  "Here take this...it's a gift lovie." I took it off the hanger and helped slip it over her head.  Sadly it was big on her but in a cute way.

"Thanks" her voice sounded a bit less glum and I gave her a small smile placing a few fingers over my mouth.  Those bloody teeth I fucking hate them.  "Mind telling me why you're always so sad?"  She shook her head practically whispering she didn't want to bother him.  "Well how about we get to know each other first.  Rog told me your name and I'm Freddie." I tried to sound happy hoping it would spread to her.  "I'm Cadence as you know" she looked up at me finally.

"I mean this in the nicest way possible dear but how old are you?" I just had to know it didn't matter if you shouldn't ask a woman their age.  "16 at the end of August.." it seemed like she was going to say more but she stopped.  I nodded 15 wasn't that bad at least she wasn't 12 or something then I'd be a real fucking creep.  "So now will you tell me why you're always crying dear?"

"I hate people and that's all that's important." she just muttered and turned back.  I mean I can't really disagree with her people are twats especially Roger.  I laughed a bit and clearly that made her more upset.  I didn't exactly realize she was being serious.  "Life doesn't always treat people fairly my dear if they did I'd be a pop star!" I ended with a flourish of my arms.

*Cadences POV*

Alright who does he think he is? I just walked over to the door I don't have anymore patience for this.  "Wait where are you going darling?" he called out from behind me and I tried so hard not to roll my eyes.  "Home...I promised my mum I'd be back by now."  I heard a little "Goodbye" and waved before leaving.

I took into more realization as I walked home how much I couldn't see.  At ballet I continued to bump into people and it was affecting me a great deal.  Then that guy Freddie he seemed nice at first but now I don't have a clue what the hell to think of him.  This jumper is nice...but I liked his jacket better.

This chapter is a bit smaller but I still hope you enjoy it! The picture above is the jacket that accidentally got sold to Cadence.
