*Cadences POV*"Just give it some time they'll work"
That's all I've fucking heard since I told my parents these glasses aren't working. Ballet is getting more and more difficult but the dress rehearsal is in two days so there's no excuses. My parents are planning a small party for me which I'm quite excited for. I'll get to see all my cousins who I haven't seen in ages.
I'd love to invite Freddie but that wouldn't go down very well. He's never been some creep telling me to never tell my parents that we hang out it's just that I know they'd immediately assume he was. Freddie told me about the girl he's been trying to ask out even. But I couldn't blame them honestly for thinking our relationship is bad.
"So we can have the wedding next week?" His voice snapped me out of my little daydream "What?" He started laughing. "I was asking what you wanted for your Birthday dear and you weren't paying attention." I took a deep breath. "Sorry...but I don't really want anything." At this point all I really wanted was vision that at least glasses could fix. "Come on you've got to want something!" I shrugged.
*Freddie's POV*
Do you really think I haven't gotten her something by now dear? I've got a friend who works in a jewelry store and helped me get a necklace! It was rose gold and the charm was two hearts.
I wanted it to be something she could feel that's why I didn't choose some over the top diamond there would be no point if she couldn't see it. I was also going to give her the design I made and see if she'd actually want it. I was strangely a bit nervous to give it to her.
Originally I was thinking about giving her ballet shoes or something but that was too basic and one thing I'm not is basic. Lately when we went to our cafe I'd keep a close eye on her tea and occasionally move it over when she'd get close to hitting it. I marvel at how she can walk down the street and have good enough awareness not to bump into people. Whenever we get something new that has an interesting texture I'll give it to her for a bit.
We began to get sort of close and we'd rant to each other about our problems and such. Maybe because I am still like a teenager at times-ONCE AGAIN I SWEAR IM NOT A PERVERT.

*Cadences POV*It was my birthday! I was finally sixteen! I still of corse went to dance because this was the last practice before dress rehearsal. I wasn't telling them about my vision until after the show. That day I wasn't going to be able to have tea with Freddie only stop by and see him.
I was greeted by both Freddie and Roger yelling "Happy Birthday!" It made me honestly quite delighted to think that they cared enough to do that. I thanked them of corse and walked over. "Here you go lovey I hope you like it." My eyes widened and he handed me a small bag. I didn't actually expect him to get me anything. I quickly put my arms around him and he hugged me back.
"Thank you so much Freddie." My voice came out as a little less than a whisper. If it wasn't obvious by now I don't have any friends. "Aw kitten...you deserve it." Kitten that was a new pet name. I didn't mind it and backed away giving him a small smile. I gave Roger a small hug as well and clearly he made a face at Freddie or something because when I looked he was flipping him off.
I placed the back with my dance stuff so I could open it later. I had to sort of rush because I'd spent longer at the stall than I intended to. Already by the time I got home there were a few cars in the driveway. When I got in I was bombarded by my family members. I missed them to be honest it had been forever. I could tell my parents were a little pissed at the fact I was home a bit late.
We had a cake and all that it was quite nice. Now usually you'd think of sweet 16's with huge parties and all that but with my vision the medical bills got expensive to I was happy just with this. I got a lot of close and ballet related stuff which was perfect for what I needed. But then after that is when all the questions about my vision came from my family members.
It only took a few to completely overwhelm me and I just went in my room needing a breather. What the hell is happening? My chest was all tight and it felt like a couldn't breathe. I grabbed the bag Freddie gave me and decided to open it now. The first thing I saw were two papers. The first was one with writing which took me a bit to figure out what it said.
"My darling Cadence,
I hope you have an amazing Birthday love! After you see the design I made for you please decide if you like it or not and tell me the answer when we next meet! One thing I'd like to remind you is to not let any of this stop you because dear you're such a hard worker. Fuck anyone who thinks you can't do something I know you can. Anyways I hope you enjoy kitten.
Love,
Freddie"I took a deep breath to be honest that's what I needed. I looked at the second paper ad was able to make out that it was a yellow dress with a bit of green. He really made this for me? It's beautiful! I smiled softly and grabbed the last thing in the bag a small box. When I took of the lid it was a necklace with two heart charms. I covered my mouth in complete shock that he'd get me something that looked so valuable.
I heard a knock at my door "Are you alright sweetie?" It was my mum. "I'm fine...I just uh forgot something." I stood up and went back out letting what Freddie said or I suppose wrote stay in my mind.
This is the longest chapter I've written so far! I hope you enjoyed it!
