*Cadences POV*

I walked past the shop and oh yes it was only Roger!  I walked in and he greeted me snickering under his breath a few times.  No no no what's going on?  I walked over to the racks of clothes keeping my eye on him.  "HA! I told you it would work Rog!" I nearly jumped out of my skin.  Freddie came out of literal fucking no where and waltzed over to me.

"Hello lovie how've you been?" He spoke softly again and I sighed.  "Fine h-how about you?" I fiddled with my bag.  "I've been good dear now come on we're going to go have tea." He just grabbed my arm and started walking towards the door.  I had an impossible time keeping up with his mile long legs and was still in too much shock to protest.  He seemed to notice and slowed his walking down.

"Freddie where are we going?" He let go of my arm since I was now following him.  "I told you lovie we're getting some tea" there was a bit of awkward silence and I had no clue what to do except go with him.  What the hell is he doing?  We went to a little cafe and he told me to sit.  I watched him order us tea and the barista fail at flirting with him.  He set a cup in front of me then himself.

I poured the sugar and milk into mine and watched him do the the same.  He gave me a little close mouthed smile and I took a sip of my tea.  "Why have you been avoiding me?" That dreaded question.   "I don't exactly know...just when you talked about life not being fair and all that." I knew he didn't know why I was upset but it still hurt.

"Tell me why you were crying and I'll leave you alone." He placed his hand next to mine.  "Fine...when you gave me the jumper it was because I found out I might go legally blind and uh I'm a dancer...so yeah" I looked down at the end of my sentence.  "Oh Cadence...that's horrible dear I'm sorry I thought it was something like getting in a fight with your friend." He spoke sympathetically and it strangely made me feel better.

I explained that was why I would go in there to feel the fabrics and all that.  He apologized a few times and I forgave him.  "It's just hard because I might not ever learn how to drive and all that" I heard him giggle a bit.  "Well guess what? I'm 24 and I never learned how to drive so we'll be together on that one." He patted my hand.  "Really?" He nodded and I started laughing.

*Freddie's POV*

My eyes widened as that beautiful sound filled my ears.  I'd done it just like I said!  All I needed was one conversation!  We continued to talk and I got to see the happy side of her.  "Guess what I'm in?"  Oh I just love talking about my band!  "What?" She rested her head against her hand.  "I'm in a band! It's called Queen and I'm the lead singer!" Yes I must admit I get a bit too overexcited sometimes.  We had a whole conversation about that and I told her about Brian Roger and John.  She'd get along with all of them it seems like.

It was just positively lovely talking to her. It was worth the wait and I could already tell we were going to be friends!  I was quite happy to say the least.  We finished our tea and walked back to the stall.  "Hello lovebirds how was the date?" Roger crooned off key and loudly.  We both yelled back in unison "It wasn't a date!" Roger laughed.

"She's 15! I'm not in the mood for a court case." I was pretty done with him for the day.  I grabbed a silk scarf that I'd been saving and handed it to her making her smile that absolutely gorgeous smile.  "When do you have to be home darling?" That sounded creepy damnit!  "When the streetlights go on if I don't call my mum and 10 if I do."  She explained while running her fingers along the silk.

I nodded wanting to make sure I hadn't kept her out past her curfew. I helped a few people while she just looked. We sold antique clothes and to be quite honest ripped a lot of people off but the two things I'd given her were new.  If she's so sad then she definitely deserves nice things.

*Cadences POV*

I'm not a sad person in fact I'm quite a happy person.  It just happens that nothing has gone right lately but so be it.  Tea with Freddie was quite nice and for being an adult he's fun to talk to.  He's not one of those creepy ones and he seems like a kid himself.

"Thank you again for the tea" I offered to pay for mine but he wouldn't let me.  "Oh darling it's no problem we should do it more often." I laughed a bit when Roger yelled at him for missing so much time.  Those two are children I'm convinced.  Obviously I didn't tell my parents who I was hanging out with because they'd go fucking insane if they heard I went to tea with a 24 year old man.

But hey maybe we could be friends.

The start of their friendship!  We finally got to see Cadence happy and let's hope Freddie can keep it that way!  Thank you so much to RachelRenee870 snapefan1991 and emmabellalee for voting on my story!!!! ❤️
