Right here...Never there

"I can see every tear you've cried
Like an ocean in your eyes
All the pain and the scars have left you cold
I can see all the fears you face
Through a storm that never goes away
Don't believe all the lies that you've been told

I'll be right here now
To hold you when the sky falls down
I will always
Be the one who took your place
When the rain falls
I won't let go

I'll be right here

I will show you the way back home
Never leave you all alone
I will stay until the morning comes
I'll show you how to live again..."

Her song is interrupted by the door to her bedroom opening. She keep it playing on loud and don't bother to look over.

"And heal the brokenness within

Let me love you when you come undone

I'll be right here now
To hold you when the sky falls down
I will always
Be the one who took your place
When the rain falls
I won't let go"

A voice begins to sing along and she sit up on my bed and stare at the man that is ruining her song, but that doesn't stop him.

"I'll be right here
When daybreak seems so far away
Reach for my hand
When hope and peace begin to fray
Still I will stand
Right here now
To hold you when the sky falls down
I will always
Be the one who took your place
When the rain falls
I won't let go
When the rain falls
I won't let go
I'll be right here"

"You ruined it" She growls before flopping back down on my bed. She don't miss the sigh he lets out.

"That used to be our song." His voice is closer to me, meaning he took a step in the room.

"That was before you lied to me. Before you took his side." She don't say those words lightly. She let them dig into him. He will never be the brother she once looked up too.

"Shelby, I am still the same person. Nothing has changed."

"You drive a black tinted SUV now, always gone to who knows where. How is that the same? You don't act like you used too."

"How can I act the same when you don't treat me the same. Your the one who's changed. I don't know what the military did to you, but your the one who's different."

"Yeah the military changed me. It does that to a person. I also lost friends over there. You don't know half the shit I've been through. But you know what else, at least I'm not hiding anything. I know what happened in my so called coma, was real. You guys were all dead. I met the Autobots and they took me in. They cared for me. They didn't abandoned me. They didn't kill this family. Like I know you and dad have been doing."

"There you go again. Making accusations. These autobrats aren't real. None of what happened to you in that coma was real. You made it all up. Get over it and move on." His voice raised and she could see the anger beginning to boil inside him.

"Get out of my room." She doesn't need to deal with his shit.

"Get the fuck out!" She screamed when he didn't make any movement.

"I want to help. I'm trying to be here for you. I can't when you keep pushing me away." Instead he takes a step in.

"I don't need help from a murderer." She spats.

"I didn't kill anybody!" His voice raises again.

"You just keep up with that lie."

"I've always been there for you. I was there when you were bullied in school. When dad would leave. When you broke your leg after falling off your horse. I've never left you. Your the one who left for the military. If anything you left me."

"Don't you dare turn it around on me." She jumped off the bed and stormed over to him, a finger pointed at his face.

"You left all of us and thats when all the crap started happening."

"It started three years after I left. Its not like I ever came home to visit. I called. This is not my fault."

"But maybe if you were home, you could have prevented it."

"Yeah okay. Way to put the blame on me. You still would be joining dad on secret missions to kill our siblings. I wouldn't be surprised if you two are plotting to kill me next." She crossed her arms.

"We are not plotting to kill you. We never plotted to kill anyone. I would never let anything happen to you. Please just stop with this nonsense. Your the only thing I have left, I can't lose you too. But I feel as though I already am." A frown rests on his face, the look of defeat taking over. She has never seen him look so sad.

Silence filled the room. Shelby continues to think about what her brother just said. Maybe he is telling the truth. She wants to believe him, but knowing what she knows.

"Look I'm sorry that you think this way about us, but I promise you I didn't kill anybody. I didn't help kill anybody either." The last part was barely in a whisper.

"What are you saying?"

"I can't say anymore. I've already said to much." That was the end of the conversation and Brandon left the room.

"You didn't really tell me anything either!" She yelled after him.

She falls back on the bed. Not sure what to do with what her brother said. Her brother could be opening up to it. Playing nice might get him to completely let her in. Finally getting to the truth. There are endless possibility's, but that would mean she would have to let go a little bit. She would have to let her brother in. Could he be there for her again? Like when they were children. She knows he wants to help, but is that the truth. Does he really want too or does he just want to mess with her head some more? Her eyes stare up at the ceiling, searching it. Searching for an answer, but knowing she won't find anything.

"I'll be right here now

To hold you when the sky falls down
I will always
Be the one who took your place
When the rain falls
I won't let go

I'll be right here." She sang softly to herself.

*In an abandoned building who knows where*

A pained scream lets loose, making the walls tremble. It leaves misery in its wake. Tormenting the souls around it. A scream so distinguishing and full of agony, it would bring tears to anyone eyes. Though the poor thing isn't sure why he's still screaming. No one can hear him. No one is coming to save him. There is nothing that can be done unless someone has a change of heart. They will continue to tear him apart, piece by piece, bolt by bolt. His mental stability loosing the battle. There's not much more they can take from him. They've entered his mind, seen how he ticks, messed with his spark. He's lost all hope now. Nothing matters to him anymore, he's given up. He only wishes they would kill him and get it over with.
