"Dreadwing!!!!"

Her scream echoing throughout the room. Stopping every being in the room, all bringing their eyes to her, even the giant, who could only hear at that moment, looked down.

"Shelby?" The name came out hoarse and broken. Nothing like the strong voice she had come to know.

"What have you done to him?!?!" She screeches, tugging against the hand holding her back. "Let me go, you bastard!"

"Struggling will get you no where." Silas's spoke with a monotone voice. Any hint of her father became lost in the moment.

"Dreadwing! Let me go to him. You monster!"

She didn't stop struggling. She fought against him with every ounce of her being. Her eyes never leaving the disassembled giant in front of her. Wires attached everywhere, parts of his armor dangling next to his open circuits. His optics are dark, no signs of life shining though those once crimson eyes. The only sign that he's alive is the dim light coming from his exposed spark chamber. Tears come to Shelby's eyes, staining her cheeks in the fluid. She whispers his name over and over. Hoping for this all to be a dream. A nightmare that she will wake from at any moment.

"Keep working! No one told you to stop!" Silas's voice echo's over her cries. "You! Shows over lets get you to your new room."

"No! NO! I can't leave him!" She screams, struggling against him. She's able to get her leg up and kick him in the knee.

He screams out in pain, letting go of her arm. The second that grip released, she sprinted. Knocking the others in the room over, taking them by surprise. She made her way to Dreadwing, climbing the ladders and platforms they have set up around his body. She jumps over one of the railings and finds herself next to his head and time freezes.

"Dreadwing, please talk to me." She says just above a whisper.

The metal giants head begins to move towards the soft voice. One he hasn't heard in some time. A large screech sounds about the room as he attempts to look at her, even if his optics are shut off. He needs to face her. His mouth opens to talk, but no words come out.

"Dreadwing! Please talk to me." She talks to him, half leaning over the railing. Dreadwing tries to speak, but only his mouth opens and nothing comes out.

"He isn't going to talk back."

"He said my name only seconds ago. What do you mean he won't talk back?" She turned and looked angerly at him.

"I turned off his vocal box. It's amazing what we are able to do with it. When your integrated into its system." Silas says with a hint of amusement in his voice.

"He! He is not an it. You can't just use him like a puppet."

"I can do whatever I like. Now come down before I have to force you down."

"He is not a some toy in your sick collection. He is a sentient being like you or me. What did he do to deserve this kind of treatment?" She glares down at Silas, not about to move from her perch.

"It is a machine and we have learn so much from it. These things have such advance technology. It is quite amazing. Come down and maybe I'll show you."

Instead of snapping another smart ass comment, she turns back to Dreadwing. Eyes taking in all the wires and circuits hooked up to him. The chains holding him in his standing position. His arms stretched out, hung there by chains coming down from the ceiling, denting his armor in, scratching the paint. The power source she had hand built for him, dangles out in front of his spark, still attached by the fine wires. Jumper cables hooked to the device and attached to a generator down behind Dreadwings spread out legs. She searches for a way to undo what has been done, but with Silas's men beginning to surround her, there is no way she can unhook him quick enough and get him back together. It would take her a few hours to be able to release him from his binds.

Hands grip her arms and she struggles against the hold. She knows there is nothing she can do with the enemy near, but she's not ready to give in. The men grips tighter, bringing her arms behind her back. Metal upon metal screeches and she snaps up to see Dreadwing attempting to shake his head. He doesn't want her to fight. She is outnumbered and he doesn't have to see to know that.

"I'll save you. I'll get you out of here. Don't give up, Dreadwing." She screams, letting the men manhandle her down the platform.

At the bottom, Silas waits for her, his arms behind his back and a wicked grin playing on his lips. He knows he's won the battle today. He leads the group out of the room, the men dragging Shelby behind them. Still screaming for Dreadwing. They take her down the corridors, making the mistake of letting her see. Now she knows most of the layout, the building isn't as big as it look from the outside. They take her to the other end, a room full of cages, large cages, but the bars to close together she wouldn't be able to escape. Silas has his men throw her inside the cold dark dungeons.

"Enjoy your stay at the M.E.C.H base." Silas says with a smirk.

With that he leaves the room, his goons giggling behind him. The lights go out and the room goes dark. So dark that can barely see anything in front of her. There isn't even a window to bring in some moonlight. Its just pitch black. Her eyes don't even adjust, its to dark to adjust to anything. She takes a careful step forward, feeling her way to the bars. When she gets close enough she grips them tightly. So tightly her knuckles must be turning white, if only she could see them.

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She lets out a wail.

Her head leans forward against the bars, lightly hitting her head against them. She lets the tears she's been holding back, start to fall from her eyes. It was all true, everything she built. Dreadwing is alive and very real. They all lied to her. The Autobots are real and they told them she was dead. The only real family she had, everyone told her they weren't real. They were just a dream, but their not. Her so called family tried to keep this from her. They made her think she was crazy, insane. Even if half the things she did was Dreadwing and the bots didn't happen. The whole beginning did. Dreadwing still saved her in the end. They all saved her.

The Autobots. The thought of them made her remember her last encounter and the device given to her by Ratchet. Silas never searched her person. They don't know about it. She pulls it out of her back pocket. Surprised it made it though the struggling. She holds it in her shaking hands, trying to turn the screen on.

"Get ahold of yourself Shelby." She whispers to herself.

The screen turns on and the Autobot back ground pops up. Thus giving her a little bit of comfort. She quickly presses her fingers against the screen to get to the comm link codes. Optimus is at the top of the list, then it goes from there. She notices a link at the bottom, Dreadwing. Her finger goes to press it, but it stills. She realizes that Silas may be monitoring everything that goes on with Dreadwing. Even if she calls him, Silas would know. So she clicks on the first on one the list. It rings once and Optimus Prime answers her call.

"Shelby, is everything alright?" His deep baritone voice flows into her ear.

"No, Optimus. I am not alright. I have been kidnaped by Silas. I am in an unknown building about 10-15 miles from my home. Dreadwing is here and he is gravely injured."

"We can't pin point your location. Ratchet will keep trying. Stay alive, we will find out." He keeps his tone calm, but there is a small edge to it. One of uncertainty.

"Please Optimus hurry. Dreadwing does not have much time." She said franticly.

"Keep your link on. We will find you." He promises.

"I trust you, Optimus. I'll check back in later. Do not contact me. I will contact you."

"Understood."

The comm goes silent and she is brought back into the darkness as the screen turns off. None of this happened in her comma. It seemed like a whole other life. She had everything she could ever wanted. She had Dreadwing. Silas was gone, nonexistent. What was going to happen to them now?
