Tear Stained

"Good evening master." MiraJane smiled cheerfully as Makarov walked downstairs from his office into the main guild, "how're you doing today?" She asked, she sounded so happy and polite that Makarov was almost fooled, but he knew better..

He knew that ever since two years ago, when Levy, Juvia, and Lucy had left the guild.. she hadn't quite been the same.. neither had Wendy, Pantherlily, the Thunder Legion, her siblings.. the girls disappearance had left a hole in the hearts of the people who still cared for them when they were here..

While the people who didn't, now rejoiced that they were gone once and for all.

"I'm doing fine, MiraJane." He nodded his head, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a stash of letters that almost turned Mira pale, "I've got a few letters to deal with today." He said, they were crumpled and stained Mira noticed... with what looked liked tears..

Mira reached her hand out but quickly pulled away, "from the council?" She wondered aloud but was confused when Makarov shook his head no.. if they weren't from the council.. who could they be from?

"They're letters from Juvia, Levy, and Lucy." Makarov said with a sudden saddened tone that took MiraJane off guard, "they wrote them in my office before they left two years ago.. before they.. before they-." His eyes teared up as he couldn't even choke out what he was trying to say..

"Before they died." Natsu's voice cut out through the guild, Makarov and MiraJane turned to see Natsu making his way towards them with Gray and Erza following behind him like lost puppies, "and now you're handing out letters that are probably full of 'I'll miss you so much' and 'I'll never forget you', a bunch of lame things." He laughed harshly, before Makarov shoved a letter into his hands, his eyes widened in surprise as he looked down at the crumpled paper.

"For team Natsu." Makarov seethed, he picked out another one and handed it to Mira, "For the Strauss Siblings." He said, Mira quickly took the letter and hugged it like it was her lifeline, Lisanna and Elfman wandered over to look at it themselves..

"The rest are for the Thunder Legion, the exceeds and Wendy and Cana, and team Shadow Gear plus Gajeel." Makarov read off, handing out the letters as someone came to pick them up, "and the last one is a letter for us all." He smiled sadly as he held the letter in his hands, his own tears adding to the old stains of the girls before him.

"As you all know.. Juvia, Levy, and Lucy died one year ago due to a dark guild.." Makarov began, the mood of the room immediately going down at the mention of their deaths, "Before they left.. they wrote letters for some of you.. if you don't mind, I'd like you to read them aloud." Makarov smiled fondly at the memory of the girls as the people who received letter tore into them, quickly reading them to themselves before reading them aloud.

'Dear Wendy, Cana, Happy, Charle, and Pantherlily, I don't know when you'll receive these letters but when you do we'll probably still be missing you guys.. you all know the reasons we left but we want want you to know that you all were one of the reasons we stayed around for as long as we did.. you made the hellhole that is Fairy Tail a little more bearable, we love you guys and we'll miss you so much. And Pantherlily.. Levy never meant to hurt you.. Stay innocent Wendy.. and Cana, we all know you were never innocent.. And Happy, Charle, and Pantherlily.. keep doing what you do best and protect your dragon slayers.. Yours truly, Levy, Juvia, and Lucy'

Wendy stifled back sobs as Cana wiped at her eyes, "they stayed because of us.. we're the reason Natsu hurt them." Wendy cried as Cana rubbed her back to comfort her, "are we the reasons they died?" She asked, Cana didn't know how to reply so she just put her head down.. Happy cried into Pantherlily's shoulder as Charle patted him on the back to comfort him..

'Dear MiraJane, Elfman, and Lisanna.. thank all three of you for never treating us like everyone else did, thank you for being our friends for the years we were at Fairy Tail. They are moments we will never forget for as long as we live, and you are people we will never forget.. I wish we could've gotten more time together to be friends but.. you know.. we can't do much now that Levy can't see, Juvia can't hear, and Lucy can't feel or talk.. we love you guys.. you're our family. From, Lucy, Juvia, and Levy'

MiraJane covered her mouth as she cried, Lisanna hugged her sister as Elfman had to look away.. but that didn't stop the closest guild members to overhear even the manly Elfman crying..

'To the Thunder Legion, we know we were never very close but.. you were family while we were at Fairy Tail, much more then most of the other members were anyways.. you guys are so powerful and so amazing.. we're gonna work hard to live up to you guys and be mages that can rival even you guys! So watch out! Next time you see us, we'll be able to take all of you down! Just you watch! From, Levy, Juvia, and Lucy!'

Evergreen laughed slightly, "they really think they can beat us? They- they-." Evergreen stopped to wipe her eyes as she teared up, Freed laughed softly as he wiped his own eyes, Bickslow sniffled under his helmet, and even Laxus had to sit down..

'Dear Shadow Gear, plus Gajeel.. I never meant to hurt you three or Pantherlily.. I was weak when we went against those dark mages, I couldn't protect you guys and I regret it every single day.. it's probably for the best you guys decided to ditch me, but it still hurt. You guys were my best friends and you always will hold a special place in my heart, and when we see each other again.. I'll be able to protect you guys, love Levy.'

Jet and Droy cried into each other's arms as Gajeel sat down..

'Dear team Natsu.. we hate you Natsu, you've ruined our lives and we will make SURE you pay for what you've done to all three of us. You'll pay one hundred times over for what you've done, just you wait. As for you Gray and Erza.. you both were like family.. yet even you Erza.. you gossiped about us and.. we just don't know why.. Still, we'll miss you guys, minus Natsu. From Levy, Juvia, and Lucy.'

Gray and Erza looked defeated as Natsu just scoffed, "that means a LOT coming from a bunch of dead people." He laughed harshly, earning himself glares from almost everyone in the guild..

'Dear everyone, we will miss you all. But we'll see you snakes again. The Grand Magic Games, be there or be square. From, your ex-guild mates.'

The guild went silent.. they knew the letters no longer mattered.. their three friends were dead now.

Yet, they felt they owed a debt.. well, that most of them owed a debt anyways.. so it may be for no reason, but they would compete in the Grand Magic Games..

For Levy..

For Juvia..

For Lucy..
