"Well now that our teams have been announced, let the festivities commence!" Mato clapped his hands together as the arena roared in agreement, "like previous years, each day of the grand magic games there will be a game! Followed by four, randomly selected, 1v1 battles! How exciting!" He giggled, most of the arena and teams just sighed or huffed in annoyance at the repeating agenda for this year's games, with the process always being the same it did get a little boring for the returning teams who had played in the previous years. But, lucky for Mato and arena's sudden drop in atmosphere, there were seven players who had never played, or seen, the games like this before.

Xavier hollered from his team's balcony, "this is so fucking cool!" He exclaimed, practically jumping from his balcony already in anticipation, "what's the game? A foot race? Hide and seek? Drinking contest?" He rattled off suggestions, earning various laughs and smiles from the crowds and teams who found his excitable demeanor rather endearing instead of annoying.

"I like the way that guy thinks." Cana giggled from where the entire team for Fairy Tail sat, clutching her own barrel of booze tightly in her arms, "but this one here is mine! So you can't take it!" She slurred, much to the horror of her guild mates who hadn't realized the brunette was already drunk.

Chapati Lola cleared his voice from the announcer's box to get the attention of the crowd, "we sure have a rowdy boy joining us in this year's Grand Magic Games! The purple haired fellow is none other then Xavier Lee from Midnight Serpents!" He explained, making Xavier flush in embarrassment when he realized he was the one being talked about in front of hundreds of people, "One of the guild's strongest members and most carefree, opponents should beware his acid magic and poison dragon slayer too!" He offered, the crowds began murmuring amongst themselves at the mention of his strength and magic, while quite a few of the teams just blanked at them.

Xavier gaped at him like a fish out of water, "hey!! Stop spoiling all my magic or there won't be a surprise!!" He complained, waving his fist at Chapati as Lake had to physically hold him back from climbing off of the balcony to go knock the announcer around a little, "I'll knock you out!! I can do it! Don't test me!" He ranted off, "I'm not to he messed with! You hear me?"

"Oh my god Xavier, please calm down!" Pria hid her face in her hands out of embarrassment, "everyone's looking at you!!" She hissed lowly, Xavier stopped for a moment and turned to look at Pria cowered in the corner before his gaze slowly shifted to the crowd and balconies full of people, all of who were indeed staring at Xavier as he caused a scene on the first day of the Grand Magic Games.

Xavier laughed nervously, "O-oh.." he whispered, slowly calming down and retracting off of the balcony like he was on autopilot mode. Lake tried to grab his hand and pull him back towards them but he shook his grip off, stalking away from the rails and towards the hallway before disappearing through the door and out of their sight.

Beth tilted her head from the Mermaid Heel balcony, "is he alright-."

"Plug your ears, now." Levy/Sumiye warned, almost instinctively everyone's hands shot to their ears as she had instructed, although they were unsure as to why they had to-.

"GOD DAMN IT I ALREADY FUCKED UP!" Xavier screamed from the hallway, still clearly audible even as everyone, besides Juvia/Amaya, had their hands closed on top of their ears, "THAT WAS SO FUCKING LAME OF ME OH MY GOD!!" He groaned, rattling the arena with his shouts. Anyone who wasn't Midnight Serpents looked startled or appalled at what was happening, while the Serpents just looked like it was something they dealt with daily as their faces all had bored expressions.. and they seemed to still be talking to one another as it happened as well??!

After a few minutes of silence, a few brave people removed their hands from their ears, "Is.. he done?" Sherria asked nervously as he hands hovered over her ears for a second longer, "I think he stopped-."
