Basement

“Alyx, wake up.” I opened my eyes slowly and saw Luke’s face. “What happened? Where are we?” I asked, “We’re at your house. A kid opened the door and it hit you on the head. You blacked out and fell. So Colton brought you to the nurse. Then I brought you home to rest.” Luke said, “Oh... I need some water.” I said as I threw the blanket off my and started walking downstairs and Luke followed. I got glass and poured some water into it. “You can go home. You don’t have to stay with me if you don’t want to.” I said, “No. I want to be with you.” Luke protested. I drank the glass of water and walked out to the living room and sat on the couch, and turned on the tv. Luke sat next to me then Jack came running up to us and jumped on the couch. “I want to watch a movie.” I said. So I got up and walked over the movie cabinet we had sitting next to the tv stand, “Want to watch The Conjuring?” I asked, “Sure!” Said Luke, so I put the disc in and pressed play. We were watching the movie for about an hour until I heard I loud banging noise come from the basement. I got up off the couch and went to the door unaware of what I would be encountering when I opened the door. I could feel my heart racing in my chest, my hands were sweating uncontrollably, and my legs felt weak. I ignored all of that and turned the knob and opened the door, and walked down the stairs, the basement smelt of mold and metal. I turned the light on, then all of the sudden Emily came at me.

I stumbled over my own feet and smashed my head on the concrete floor. I screamed as loud as I could hoping that Luke would hear me. I sat up trying to get to my feet, not knowing where Emily was. I stood up and ran as fast as I could, but the basement door slammed shut and the knob would not turn. Someone locked it. I turned around and thats when I came face to face with Emily. I stood there in shock, no words, screams, or cries for help could escape my mouth. She was right in front of. But she didn’t attack me. She just stared at me. I lifted my hand up to touch her to see if I was just going crazy, but that’s when the lights came back on and the door unlocked. Then Emily disappeared. I fell to my knees crying. “What is wrong with me?” I kept whispering to myself. “Alyx! Are you okay?” I heard a voice yell from behind the door. “Yeah.. I’m fine. I just tripped. That’s all.” I said, I got up slowly and opened the door to where Luke was standing I wrapped my arms around him never wanting to let him go. “What happened down there?” He asked, “Emily..” I said quietly, “Whos Emily?” He asked, “I don’t know..” I said, “Alright, well lets get you back to the couch. You need to sit down.”
