Excuse The Mess I Made When You Were Mine

"Richard, wake the fuck up!" Nini yelled, throwing a pillow at me. 

"What are you doing here? It's six in the morning on a Saturday. I thought you of all people would understand the importance of sleep on a Saturday." I replied, sitting up and glaring at her.

"Well, I'm only back here from Denver for the weekend, and I want to spend as much of it as possible with my boyfriend. Is that too much to ask for?" She questioned, arching her eyebrows. I couldn't help but smile at her. She was so cute when she was annoyed.

"Fine. Just give me a minute to get ready...Where are we even going?" I gave in, rubbing my eyes and getting up. 

"On a walk." She answered, smiling. I gave her a weird look, but went into the bathroom to get ready, nonetheless. 

Once I was done, which wasn't too long after, I stepped out of the bathroom and walked  with Nini to the  front door.

"Son, what the hell are you doing up at this hour on a Saturday?" My dad said, groggily coming out of his room. "Oh, Nini's home. Right. Well, uh, never mind.  I'm just gonna go back to bed." He realized quickly, going back to his room just as quickly as he had left it. Nini and I both shrugged and headed out the door.

"So, are we just walking around the neighborhood or...?" I asked, barely awake.

"Mhm. Why not?" She answered, casually slipping her hand in mine. I had zero complaints.

"So, how's Denver?" I asked, enjoying the nice cool breeze.

"It's...okay. I love the school, don't get me wrong, but the city itself is kinda boring. I have been able to make friends and I just finished writing a new song, so it's not that I hate it. It's just...I don't know. There's some things missing..." She explained, our hands swaying back and forth still holding on to each other.

"Like me?" I responded, grinning.

"Of course. You're at the top of the list." She said, giving me a quick kiss on my cheek.

"I've really missed you too. East High just isn't the same without you, Neens." I said, pouting.

"Speaking of, how are things at East High? What's the cast list for the musical?" She wondered, tilting her head. 

"Oh. Well, Kourtney got cast as Belle. EJ is Gaston. Seb is Lumiere. Carlos is Cogsworth. Big Red is LeFou. Ashlyn is doing Mrs. Potts." I told her, waiting to tell her the best part.

"Wait. Kourtney got the lead? I am so happy for her!!" She exclaimed, with the cutest little smile ever. "And also that's amazing that Carlos and Big Red are performing too!" She added, her excitement for our friends making me melt.

"Well, guess who's playing Beast..."

"Hold on... Did you get the lead again???" She questioned, her eyes widening. I nodded softly and she pulled me into a big hug. "I'm so happy for you, babe!!!" 

"You are going to do amazing, just like last time." She stated, smiling so big her eyes were closed.

"I love you..." I replied, biting my lip.

"I wuv you too." She said, puckering up her lips. I took that as my cue and placed my lips on hers.
