Logan's POV
Rose, as I had come to call her, lay unconscious in my arms. I cradled her as best I could. A million questions were shot at me.
"Is she okay?"
"What happened?"
"Is it Styker?"
"Everyone. Go back to your rooms. Lock the doors and windows. Don't come out til' Xavier says to. She'll be okay."
Most of them went back to their rooms with out question. A few still lingered.
"Go!!" I barked. I didn't particularly like yelling at them, but I needed them to go so I could take care of Rose.

Once they were gone, I took her to my room. She was shaking all over, just like when we'd met a few days ago. She had chills like crazy despite the warmer room temperature. I gently laid Rose on my bed, pulled the blankets over her, and laid down about a foot away. I looked up at the cold, dark ceiling, and thought. We seemed to share a connection. But, what was it?! I remember her faintly but I couldn't place it. It was driving me insane...
After a few long minutes I contemplation, I closed my eyes. A memory suddenly flashed to me.
It means the Wolverine...
Kayla.
Who was Kayla?! I had known for a fraction of a second, but I couldn't keep it....
I suddenly felt something shift. I opened my eyes. Rose had moved. I looked over, she was still asleep, her head resting on my chest. She wasn't shaking as badly anymore. I softly put my arm around her.
"I will never let them touch you again." I whispered. Her eyes fluttered.
"I know..." A soft voice responded.

Right then I made a promise. To both of us.
"I will figure this out. For both of us. I will find out who did this and I will discover who we are. No matter what it cost me..."
I had no doubt we had a history. I just wanted to know. Sick of being sick of no answers. I was done with guessing.
The next day, I was getting answers.
