Somehow Levi found himself dancing alongside Damon, surrounded by girls he didn't recognise at all. The boy holding onto his shoulders from behind, however, he most certainly knew. Pulled back, he was met with a familiar face of many late nights. Unfortunately, the incoming face of doom and gloom appeared over his shoulder and locked eyes with Levi.

Leaning forward, he whispered in the boy's ear, 'Not tonight, Tate. Sorry,' and quickly pulled away completely.

Just in time too as Stefan pulled him and Damon into what looked like was going to be a what-the-hell-do-you-think-you're-doing conversation. They glanced at each other knowingly before Stefan started on them.

'Please tell me you didn't know that Bonnie was on a suicide mission.'

'Oh, great! Jeremy told you and of course, you told Elena,' Damon huffed.

'Yeah, I told Elena.' Stefan then turned to Levi, the disappointment ever-growing in his eyes. 'I can't believe that you of all people would go along with this. Putting Bonnie in danger.'

'Actually, it was my idea,' he corrected gently.

Stefan was in disbelief, 'What? No, there's got to be something more to it,' he narrowed his eyes as if he'd just found something suspicious. The sudden change made Levi take a small step back. 'I know you and there's no way you'd let someone just die without trying to find another way. Fess up.'

Damon quickly waved his hands about, butting in before Levi could reply, not caring whether it was with the plan or not.

'Look, Stefan, the point of Bonnie's powers is so she can take down Klaus before he kills Elena. If she happens to get taken down with him then so be it. Better her than Elena.'

'You promised her no more secrets,' Stefan brought up.

'I changed my mind.'

No one knew what to say for a moment, but Levi didn't think he'd be able to slip away unnoticed. He hated these brothers-love-Elena conflicts.

'Maybe I should go find Elena and explain,' he started to suggest before catching Damon's pointed look, '..uh... explain my, uh, feelings?'

'She's talking to Bonnie outside,' said Stefan with a confused frown.

Fortunately for Levi, Stefan's more pressing matter was Damon so he was able to leave them to their silent debate over who gets to protect Elena. Avoiding eyes at he slid on through, he made it out into the fresh air and took a deep breath. It was unusual for him to feel relief getting away from a crowd, he liked people and general contact. Why was everything getting to him now?

'Thank god, Levi,' Elena called out, running up to the doors where he'd just exited with Bonnie and Ric in tow. 'Have you seen Klaus or Jeremy?'

'No,' he replied. 'Wait, why are you looking Jeremy?'

Ric reached him first, 'Klaus has Jeremy. You should get Stefan and Damon.'

'They'll find us,' he replied. He couldn't leave Elena with Bonnie. He had to make sure the plan worked and Elena needed to be there without getting in the way. Best not to leave it up to chance.

Immediately, he turned around and followed them to the school's side door, the girls on his left while Ric led on ahead. The sudden dramatics distracted Levi momentarily from the pounding in his head, although it was mainly replaced with confusion.

'What does he want with Jeremy? That makes no sense.'

'You're trying to make sense of this psycho?' Elena exclaimed.
