'Good to know I'll have some company... and a drink.'

Ignoring Katherine, who'd been searching for something to drink for the last ten minutes, Levi finally stood up, no longer able to sit still. He knew Katherine wouldn't touch him, not only because she was terrified of Klaus but due to the clarity of the threat Klaus made if she did. Klaus had then proceeded to leave Levi to mull things over in the apartment alone.

That was his mistake. Although Levi's head got better, his mindset got worse. What was he meant to do? How could he put someone he's known no more than a couple of hours above the people who had become his close friends?

He couldn't.

No matter if Klaus was his biological father. He hadn't been there for the past eleven years of Levi's life and Levi can't even remember anything before that. His mum's doing most likely. Who's to say that Klaus was telling the truth about how he felt towards Levi anyway?

The thought sent a shiver down Levi's spine.

It was mind bottling enough to have a father suddenly come into his life for the first time in his recollection. What if said father had something planned for him? Didn't Elijah say Klaus had done something bad to his siblings?

Levi had already helped to try and kill Klaus once. If that hadn't of pissed him off then what about when he finds out that Bonnie's still alive? Could Levi even still go through with the plan? The question made him start pacing double time. Now that he knew this was his father, could he give up the opportunity to get to know him?

What if everything Klaus said about wanting to be a part of his life was true?

Listening to the clicking of Levi's smart shoes against the wooden flooring, Katherine rummaged through the last draw in the fridge, found nothing and turned to look at the young warlock. She knew she couldn't touch him but that didn't mean she couldn't admire him. It was unfortunate that before her gazing could even start she was distracted by the faint sound of someone approaching.

Katherine suddenly flashed from the fridge to Levi, covering his mouth as she turned them both to face the front door. Instinctively, Levi grabbed the arm that was like a metal bar across his chest, trying to pull himself free. He didn't need another blow to make his head worse.

'Shh,' Katherine whispered.

Levi caught a glance of Katherine in his peripheral and stopped struggling. She was on edge, staring at the door like it was the only thing holding back her biggest fear. It wasn't until the jangling of keys reached Levi's ears as well did he understand that Katherine was using him as a defence.

Lucky me, he thought, watching the front door swing open, revealing Alaric. The teacher's eyes swept the room before settling on Levi, happy that there was no one else lingering his apartment.

'Look who's dumb enough to come back.' Katherine remarked.

'Well, somebody had to invite him in.' Alaric looked back at someone that they couldn't yet see. 'Damon. Would you like to, uh, come in?'
