Thus far in Season 2 of the ever-so-popular show "Gravity Falls", a representation of Stan Pines has been seen burning twice. Once during the puppet show, the Gruncle Stan puppet was shown flying away whilst burning to a crisp when Mabel pushed the "big finish" button and shot off the fireworks. The second during the festival in the most recent episode "The Love God" when Soos built a hot air balloon of Stan's face to help endorse The Mystery Shack to the visitors of the festival. However, the engine malfunctions and catches the balloon on fire...the balloon of Stan's head.
Many casual viewers have simply thought this was a mere joke. Nevertheless, the Internet has blown-up with these "mere jokes". From the information I have gathered online, many people believe these parallel episodes actually are a foreshadowing of Stan's soon-to-be fate and/or death. But, no one truly knows what is to become of Stan in the future.
