Chapter 16: Lightning

What has this story turned into? Does this even still classify as a harry potter fanfic? XD It feels like a random fantasy story XD

Jimin hadn't thought much of it. It was unusual for Umungol to pop up out of nowhere and lead him somewhere, but he'd trusted the wolf. Who wouldn't trust the wolf? The protector of his best friend?

Umungol did bring him to the right place, after all.

Taehyung was right there, standing hidden behind the trees. His eyes were dull, empty, just like they had been in Jimin's dream. His arms hung by his side and he didn't move a single limb.

However, it wasn't just Taehyung who was there.

Jimin was still standing outside the forest, frozen in place. His breath had hitched when Umungol had nodded towards the forest and he'd locked eyes with Taehyung, but not only because he'd found the boy.

No, because he had found the Thunderbird as well.

The magnificent beast stood next to Taehyung, eyes focused on the motionless boy. If Jimin didn't know better, he would've thought the creature was about to make a meal out of the young Hufflepuff.

The creature had its wings folded, but even so it looked huge next to Taehyung's small figure. Jimin noticed the golden feathers and he prayed for them to stay that colour. Please don't turn blue, he thought desperately.

But even that wasn't the only thing.

Jimin's shocked expression turned to a glare as he stared at the person standing on Taehyung's other side, only slightly further away than the Thunderbird.

"Jin knew something was off about you." Jimin spat. "Where is your honour, huh, Abby? Your loyalty as a Gryffindor!"

Abigail chuckled, her arms crossed and her chin up as she looked at Jimin with a cocky smirk.

"I see Taehyung has done a great job getting you here." she spoke, ignoring Jimin's words completely.

Jimin frowned at that, his eyes shifting back to his motionless friend for a second before looking at Abigail again.

"What do you mean?"

Abigail stepped forward, her smirk widening. "Well, he got that big black wolf behind you to take you here, so I'd call that a great job."

Jimin looked at Umungol with a raised eyebrow, but the wolf wasn't looking at him nor Abigail, it was focused on Taehyung.

Jimin wasn't the fastest to catch on, but this was obvious. His glare intensified and he hesitated to take a step forward towards the girl. Would Taehyung protect her if he came too close?

"You..." he growled, "why did you make him use Umungol?! They're friends!"

"Ohhh, but Taehyungie didn't mind taking control of his wolfy." Abigail chuckled. "He listened so well when I asked him to do it."

Jimin felt disgusted to be in this situation. Abigail was supposed to be Taehyung's friend. How could she? How could she do this to him?

"Why did you want me here?" Jimin then asked through gritted teeth, his hands balled to fists at his sides.

Abigail smiled, looking back at Taehyung and the Thunderbird. Both of them were standing completely still, probably awaiting orders. Jimin wanted to scream at Taehyung to snap out of it, but he was massively outnumbered. Taehyung...Abigail...two giant beasts...

"You see, there's always been a problem in our plan." Abigail started. "We hadn't exactly thought about Taehyungie here having friends who would look out for him. Friends who would try to mess up the whole plan. We can't have him being distracted now, can we? Especially you, Jimin, are a big nuisance to our plan."
