Walking back to his house after an exhausting day of school, Soobin felt happy. He had not only been invited to a party, but had also gotten himself a boyfriend.
Finally entering the house, he saw his mom, making bulgogi, his favorite [because your birthday is that ~1~ day when your parents spoil you].
Again, trying not to DiE, he thanked his mother again and again. "Anything for my baby duckie. Your father would be so proud of you, you're so big now." his mother said, looking at her husband's military photo and his dog tags that were both in a nice little frame.
"Anything on your soulmate?" she asked excitedly. "Oh yeah, about that.. um, it's Choi Yeonjun." said Soobin awkwardly.
"A boy? Oh, well that's rare. Well I'm happy for you!" said his mom happily.
"No mom, the thing is.. we're already dating." announced Soobin. He explained the entire thing to her, but left out the part where he kissed Yeonjun on the cheek, because uh- she didn't need to know that 🤫.
"Well, don't worry, I'll support you in every way, Soobin." said his mother, looking fairly pleased for some reason. His mother worked late night shifts cleaning offices, but she could pull almost 20 hours with no sleep, despite being 47. She was always energetic. Always.
"Oh, thank you mom." said Soobin giving his mom another awkward hug. He got seated and again, attacked that bulgogi.
After finishing the deliciousness, he remembered he had biology homework and decided that he was going to finish it in his room. He was almost to the stairs leading to his bedroom when he remembered Taehyun's party.
"Mom, I'm going to a party at Taehyun's tonight." he yelled, unaware of where his mother was in the house. "Ok, finish up homework and you can go, but be back by 1:30am." she yelled back. 1:30? That was only 1 advantage to being 18. He used to only stay at parties until 11. He hurried up to finish homework.
30 minutes later
After finishing homework, Soobin realized that he didn't have an outfit picked out for the party. After rummaging through his closet, he found some simple clothes that had a tinge of style to them. It looked good enough on him. He was wearing skinny ripped jeans, along with a white cotton shirt and an oversized, marine blue, white-striped, flowy button-up. He just wore some white converse because eh, its not like the party is to see each others' shoes [lol]. Perfect. Now all he had to do was brush his teeth and comb his hair and he was done.
After doing that, he was ready to leave. He hugged his mom goodbye and took the spare house keys, knowing his mom probably would be ready to leave or had already left when he got back. He walked across the street and opened the door to Taehyun's house, wondering what he might had gotten into.
A/N: uwu this was fun to write, be prepared for the next few chapters hehehehe~
