Melissa’s Point of View
“Melissa.” I hear a deep voice sigh into the phone. I couldn’t control my anger as I hear his voice for the first time in years. “Why are you calling me?” I ask through my teeth, feeling the anger boiling up inside me. “Uh.. I don’t know where to begin. I’m so sorry Melissa.” I knew then I couldn’t hold it in. “You’re sorry?! What do you mean… You’re sorry?! I didn’t see my sister in years! And you have the guts to call me?! If I were you I wouldn’t have tried to get in contact with me, Chase Baker, because sorry will never cut it. I will NEVER forgive you. You did the unthinkable. You ruined our friendship, my relationship with my sister….YOU RUINED MY ENTIRE LIFE! I went down a dark path without my sister. I was alone, and didn’t know what to do. I have sworn to myself that I would find the people who took her away, including you, and have my revenge. You do not want to cross paths with me, Chase. It won’t end well for you.” Finishing, I hung up the phone and handed it back to my sister with shaking hands. She stared at me in awe, completely unaware that the man that she had talked to moments ago was the one who cause all of our troubles.
“Uh, revenge?” Elizabeth asked unsurely, a scared expression plastered on her face. “You don’t need to worry about anything, Lizzy.” I said blankly. “You do know, that if you get in trouble, we will be separated again…” Elizabeth murmured, looking down at her pink shoes. “It won’t happen again.” I mumble back, slumping down in the seat and pushing my short black bangs out of my face. “Promise?” She asked, hope flickering in her beautiful blue eyes. “I Promise.” I reply, giving her a sincere smile. “Alright. Then lets go inside. I want to give you the grand tour! And my room is beautiful!” Elizabeth continued rambling on all the way to the house.
