Chapter 10: The Cait-Sith Sylph Meeting

Asuna's POV

(December 20, 2024, 9:00 am)

I woke up in the inn and a notification popped up in my view.

"You have unconverted items," I thought.

I pressed the accept button and the amount of Yrds I had skyrocketed. I thought about what has happened.

"Yui?" I asked.

Yui flew up next to me and landed on my head.

"Do you know where all of this money came from?" I asked.

Yui stayed silent for a while.

"This is all of your money from SAO," she informed me.

"All of my money from SAO?" I asked.

"Yes, mommy. All of the Col you had during SAO transferred over to ALO with no issues at all."

I got out of the inn and walked outside. I found Ichika browsing the stands.

"Hey," I greeted.

"Hi, Asuna," she said.

"What time did you log on?"

"Maybe around 15 minutes ago."

A small window appeared in front of Ichika.

"Sorry, this is my friend," she apologized, "Is it okay if I can take this?"

"Oh yeah, it's fine," I said.

"Okay."

She motioned her hand to open the message.

"They're coming. The S are coming," she read aloud.

"The S?" I asked.

"I'll message him back."

Ichika typed a message to her friend.

"He says that the Salamanders are going to attack them," she said.

"Attack who?" I asked.

Ichika closed the window and started running to the gate.

"Hey! Wait!" I yelled.

I sprinted as fast as I could but I could barely keep up with her.

"What's happening?" I asked.

"The salamanders are going to attack the Sylph Cait-Sith peace treaty!" she shouted, "This meeting was all over Sylvain the past couple of weeks."

"So, what's up with that?"

"I received an earlier message from him. He said that one of the Sylphs were scheming with the salamanders to stop the meeting."

"And if the Cait-Sith figure out the attack was made by a Sylph..."

"That is the easiest way to sour the relationship between each race."

She slowly started to walk. I walked over to her side.

"And the Salamanders might go on to fight on the World Tree... And considering your goal... They might take you in as a hired person," she said, "So if you want to strike me down right now, I won't be mad."

I placed my hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay. I won't strike you down," I comforted her.

Ichika turned to me.

"Thanks for that," she said.

We slowed down to a walking pace.

"What time is the meeting?" I asked.
