"Wake up y/n." A voice ringed into my ear. I felt a hand on my shoulder shaking me violently. I groan in frustration at being woken up.
"Mom it's the weekend, what is your deal?" I squint my eyes to adjust to the light filling my room. "Oh, my- mom it's 9 in the morning! Wake me up when it is like 12." I pull my soft blanket over my head when I see what time it is. Sleep starts to consume me quickly but cold air runs over my body as my mom pulls my blanket off of me.
"Get up, we have new neighbors and I want you to meet them. It's an old friend of mine actually." My mom speaks as she folds my blanket. I sit up scratching my head, starting to become fully awake. A yawn escapes my lips as I glare at the older women.
" Well, why do I have to wake up? I could just meet them later." I question getting up to stretch. She kisses my cheek before walking to exit my room. I make a face of disgust, wiping away at my cheek.
"They need our help. And she has a son your age." She winks before walking out of my room.
1 Year Later
"Ok, mom I'll see you later," Joseph says quietly, looking at me waiting for him next to the door. I smile softly when his mom grabs his face, planting a big kiss on his cheek.
"Just be safe you guys ok? And I don't want any babies yet." His mother chuckled. I stifle in a laugh seeing Joseph stare in horror at her comment. He shakes his head before making his way to me.
"Mom ok! We will be back later tonight." Joseph ushers me out the door before his mother can say anything else. I wrap our hands together as we head towards his car. We get in and wait as the car heats up.
"So where are you taking me prince charming?" I flutter my eyes at him. He laughs grabbing my hand, planting a soft kiss. Butterflies fill my stomach at the gesture.
"We are going to the beach, my beautiful princess." Joseph gives a cheeky grin. I gasped in excitement at the news. I lean over, setting a passionate kiss on his lips. He smiles, hands finding his way to my neck to pull me closer. I pull away, placing kisses all over his faces.
"I can't wait to go!" I squeal like a little kid. He gives a little smile, eyes wandering away sadly. I grown concern as I place my hand over his. "Joseph are you ok? Is something bothering you?" I turn his face towards me. He kisses me quickly before backing out the parking lot and driving to our destination.
At The Beach
After hours of fun, Joseph and I sit in the sand watching the sunset. The sky is a mixture of blue and pink, clouds resembling purple cotton candy. A little breeze swirls, making snuggle closer to Joseph. We watch the water in silence until he speaks up.
"You know I love you a lot right? And nothing will change that." He states still looking at the water. I look at him with a confused face.
"Well, I sure hope so. I love you too nugget" I giggle, nudging him. He lets out a soft laugh. "Is there something you have to tell me though?" He gulps nervously, making me worried.
