I am a relic
old and tattered
you are a precious item
enticing to view
I am ancient
dull and tarnished
you are a diamond
shining through
I am a jumble
shattered and torn
you are pure silk
made to be worn
I am debris
sinking to murky depths
you are a yacht
an ocean liner and nothing less
I am disposable
placed in a bin
your are endearing
beautiful and thin
Yet I am everything
everything to you
we live our lives
you make me feel brand new
