Set the poor mite free
He could be Dozy
He's definitely not Mitch
He's got a pollinating itch
So let him fly
through his solar eclipse
with rejuvenated glee
Give him orange, Vitamin C
Give him yellow, Vitamin D
Give him red, Vitamin B
Give him green, go and Vitamin E
He's just a poor little bumble bee
He's very lonely can't you see?
He's forgotten to pay
Nature's membership fee
Mourned for unconditionally
Just as important as a flea
Both equally as special
in their own way
More important than man
Man and nature
represents the unrestrained
advance of doom
and costly technology
The poor mite
is no longer free
The excuse for global warming
is whatever society
wants it to be
Don't forget the march
of chemical pesticides
Look back in history
Remember The Silent Spring
and the shell thinning effects
of DDT
So what about
the beautiful
poor little might
of the bumble bee?
What will become of floral pollination?
What will become of nature's
global domination?
Will nature and man
become one nation?
Will we rise above
Capitalistic greed
and it's markets,
The City
and it's financial belief
and class station?
Third, Second and/or First ClassNature and the bumble bee
hold the key to life
Man, not the bumble bee and nature
is the one who's undeniably crass
Where will the story end?
Will the next bumble bee you see
be your first
or with ultimate finality
your last?
