Take the apple away
and you still have it's core
Take your life and soul away
and you'll have blackness and nothingness
Nothing more
What a mess
You won't like that score
Take the skin away
and you remove the packaging
Everything hangs out
You begin to lose self confidence
and get engulfed in self doubt
Lose sight of the centre
Don't believe in life's ethos and meaning
You become lost and confused
Engrossed in a spurious haze
Drowned in a negative mental maze
So how do you respond?
What will you do?
Look at the whole or focus on the shoe?
The answer
Relish your hopes and dreams
Open your mind; never personally neglect
Reach for the stars
Earn mutual respect
