Zuri's POV

"Good morning boo." I turned on my side to peck him good morning only to be met with emptiness on his side of the bed.

How strange, he never wakes up before. It always I before him anytime I'm around. I shrugged my shoulders as I got off the bed into the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth and threw on a robe. I going to go look for my Lui. I checked his study, he wasn't inside, only a well kept room stared at me in the face.

He wasn't in the gym either, maybe he might be in the kitchen or living room with Zulu. I smile, remembering how cute he was seeing him put her to sleep like she was human and his daughter, he's going to be a great dad.

Oh there they are! I found him sitting with Zulu in the living room as he fed her with milk and peanut treats, her favorite meal.

"Good morning Mr Gianni." I hugged him from behind with my hands around his neck.

Normal Lui would have instantly responded to it by turning around and pulling me in for a hug but the man before me didn't. He sat as if I wasn't talking to him, "Baby?"

"What is it?" He said in a harsh tone, almost yelling at me.

"Hey relax what's wrong?" Did he wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

"Nothing." He turned to face me squarely, staring at my face.

"How was your sleep?"

"Fine." He hesitated for sometime before asking, "yours?"

"It was really cool, I had my cuddle puppy around." I broke into a huge smile.

"Really?" He asked like he didn't believe me.

"Yes, really." I told him with an eye roll. He's something else this morning or is he on his period?

"Mnh I see."

"What are you going to eat for breakfast?"

"Nothing." Aarh I hate this nothing nonsense.

"Why nothing, I know your love for breakfast."

"Not hungry."

"Okay." I turned my back to leave, I can't stand here and having this meaningless conversation with someone who looks like he doesn't want to talk to me.

I went into the kitchen and fixed myself a simple breakfast of orange juice with bread and  peanut butter. I was only half way through with my breakfast when Lui came into the kitchen in fresh clothes, he looks like he just got out from the shower.

"I'm going to my parents, I don't know when I'll be back so you would have to go home." Finally, a full meaningful sentence in my ears this morning.

"Okayyy baby, have fun and be good." I leaned in for a kiss which he gently swerved, causing my lips to land on his cheeks, I guess I'll make do with that for today.

He didn't kiss me back and only petted Zulu as he walked out of the kitchen. Why is he behaving this weird? Did he hit his head on the floor? This ain't my Lui, I want my caring and affectionate Lui back not this stone cold man who just left.

"What's wrong with daddy?" I asked Zulu who only stared at me back, blinking her eyes twice and snuggled into me. Okay so she's as clueless as I am.

I finished my breakfast with no appetite, doing the dishes afterwards and went back to the room. I took a quick bath, got into jeans and my leather jacket, I can't be freezing cold in this cold weather.
