Chapter 19
Riley ran (well walked quickly – considering the heels she was wearing) straight outside to Kevin who once again spun her around. Ashley pulled Emma outside with her and she literally pushed her into Rob. Before I had the chance to go outside and have a look the doorbell rang - it was the boys.
“Ah, finally you’re here, Ashley can’t stop talking about you now.” I greeted Chris.
“Ahem” he stood by my side as I greeted some of our class mates.
“What, you can go through with the rest.” I laughed.
“Yeah, well there’s a problem. Kevin didn’t know you were dating Austin until yesterday, so he invited...”
“Mike!” My eyes widened, “he invited Mike!”
“Hello how’s my birthday girl?” he put his arm around me.
“I ain’t your girl.” I pushed him away, “I told you I never wanted to see you again!”
“Babe, I thought we were over this. I did tell you I’m sorry like ten times.” He rubbed the top of my arms with the hands he that had been all over Sarah.
“Considering I ignored your texts, got rid of my phone, told you I didn’t want to see and started dating someone else!” By now I was almost shouting.
“Who are you ‘dating,’ who the new ‘boyfriend’ then?” he thought I was making it up.
“What’s going on?” The girls, Kevin and Rob came into the hallway.
“Get off of me!” Mike’s gripped tightened.
“Leave her alone dude!” Rob tried to help.
“Who is he? He obviously isn’t real. There’s no one to help you, unless your with me.” Mike’s face came so close and his grip was the tightest it could go – he was so close to bruising my arms!
“Let go of her!” Austin pushed past everyone and punched him in the stomach to make him release me.
We all went outside leaving Mike in the hallway.
“Are you okay?” Austin pulled me to one side.
“Yeah I’m fine, he’s always like that because he’s on the rugby team.” I caught my breath.
“That’s no excuse.” He stepped back, “You look stunning by the way.”
“Thank you.” Mike made his way over with a small present, “No I want you to leave.”
Mike put my hands out in front of me.
“I believe she asked you to leave.” Austin towered over Mike but Mike was stronger than he looks.
“I’m only giving her a present.” He smiled and then the girls and the guys came over. “Open it.”
“Err... Mike...” I tore the paper and opened the box to reveal a diamonated tiara that had a big ‘18’ on it.
“Put it on!” He forced it on my head. “Please let me stay, I drove two and a half hours for you and I swear I’ll behave?”
“Fine,” I didn’t want to argue.
“Thank you and you look gorgeous,” he looked me up and down.
“Come on I want to dance!” Sarah turned up out of nowhere pulling Mike away.
“Oh, my God,” Riley folded her arms.
“What a snake!” Emma glared at him.
“I’m going to give him what for!” Ashley went to walk up with him with her fists at the ready but Chris pulled her back by her waist.
