If anyone else had been in the room they would have thought Melody was part of a crashing game.

The warmth she received from Yoongi's thoughtful gift turned her human, but the guilt she felt when actually holding the fabric made her turn back to her cat-form. It was a cruel cycle that finally finished when the girl decided to give up for the day.

Still in her cat-form she crawled into her bed and without having dinner, she fell asleep.

In the morning when the boys left their rooms to enjoy breakfast they were all surprised with the state of the kitchen. There was flour everywhere, pots and pans stacked on top of each other and in the midst of all of this was a flour and food covered girl.

Melody tried to smile but her bottom lip was clearly shaking.

"I- I cooked for you guys." she managed to get out, pointing at the dinner table that was filled to the brim with their favorite foods. Just the fact that the girl had done this for them made Seokjin forgive her for the absolute mess that the kitchen had become.

"That must have taken you a lot of time." He said, surprise clear in his voice. Melody looked up from the floor and made the mistake of looking Yoongi straight in the eyes.

"I'm sorry." She whispered before tears started to fill her eyes. 

"I'm so, so sorry." Tears started falling on the floor now, making a weird salt water batter with the flour that was already spread out on the floor.

The boys stared at her in shock, not sure what was going on. Yoongi took a step forward to come console the girl, but before he could get any closer to her she wiped her tears and excused herself.

"I'm gonna go clean myself up, I'll come clean the kitchen when I'm done." She whispered. Before they knew it Melody had closed her bedroom door behind her and was out of their sight.

Not sure what to do the boys sat down at the table and started to eat. It would have been a waste to let all of the food she had clearly worked so hard for go cold.

"This is really good!" Namjoon exclaimed once he tried a few of the dishes and the others agreed. The maknae-line started piling up the food on their plates, eating as if they had never had food before.

"I'm not sure if I should take this as an insult or not...." Seokjin muttered, looking at the three youngest and their obvious enthusiasm. He couldn't help but laugh at their expressions though.

"Hyung, you know your cooking is amazing too." Namjoon replied with a full mouth, but warm gaze in his eyes. Seokjin smiled at him, clear that he didn't actually take any of it as an insult, but thankful at his dongsaeng's words.

"She made most of the foods that Yoongi likes though..." Jungkook mentioned, looking around the table for more dishes to try.

"Well, yeah, this is meant as an apology to him anyway." Hoseok said as if the intent was clear as day.

Meanwhile Yoongi was still trying to finish his first bite. The food was indeed great, but there was a lump in his throat that made it hard for him to swallow. 

Yoongi had slept horribly, immediately noticing the difference without his roommate. He had been tossing and turning all night, the pain in his heart not making any of it any better. And now, even with all this delicious food on the table, he just.. didn't feel hungry. The whole situation of yesterday was still eating at him.

Yoongi sighed and got up, giving up on trying to eat any more.

"But hyung-" Jimin wanted to protest. The feelings behind the food had to be received by Yoongi after all. 

"I'll save some food for him, let's leave the two alone for now." Seokjin whispered. Right now the six of them couldn't do anything. This was for the two to figure out by themselves.

Yoongi entered his room, where Melody just left his bathroom, her hair still damp from the shower she just took.

Both stood in shock, not expecting to see the other just yet.

"My new room doesn't have a bathroom, so Hoseok said-"

"Yeah, it's fine you can keep using mine." Yoongi cut her off, not sure how to act.

"Did you like the food?" a tiny voice asked. She was well aware that not much time had passed since she had left the room.

He nodded, "I'ts good, you're good, I just...."

"What's going on?" "Who is Min-seo?" the two asked at the exact same time.

For a moment Yoongi didn't know what to say. Why was Melody talking about Min-seo all of a sudden?

"She is one of our stylists."

Melody nodded.

"I liked the clothes, thank you." her voice was suddenly cold. Yoongi looked closer at the girl in front of him and saw that she was biting her lip to the point of almost breaking the skin.

Yoongi nodded and took the silence that followed as that the conversation was over. He passed the girl so he could enter the bathroom himself when he heard a broken voice ask one more question.

"Is she your girlfriend?"

The hand that had held the doorknob fell to Yoongi's side as the tone of voice left him almost paralyzed, his body solely focusing on his heartbeat for a second. After a short break he finally managed to turn around to the girl now uncomfortably holding her right wrist, staring at her feet.

"What? No, no I don't have a girlfriend." Yoongi's instincts took over as he stepped closer to the girl and wrapped his arms around her. "Why would you think something like that?"

"I-I've never heard you talk about a girl before, and then I realized I have never met anyone else in your life. And then I realized that I don't know much about you and then- and then-" the unorganized spout of words was finally coming to an end with a small and insecure: "I thought maybe you didn't care about me..."

A warm pair of lips were placed on Melody's forehead.

"How could I not care about you? When you are always by my side when I need you, when you take care of me even when you don't have to and when you spend hours cooking all of my favorite foods just to make me feel better?"

Melody smiled lightly, relieved that she had been wrong.

"Ask me anything you want, I'll tell you everything you want to know."
