Slowly but surely Melody was coming to terms with the fact that she wasn't going to be perfect at everything. Sure, there were still many things she remembered, but she had to accept the fact that she needed help sometimes.
And the boys were more than willing to help her. Namjoon helping her with her studies, Seokjin showing her how to cook new foods. Hoseok and Jimin practicing dances with her, though she didn't need their help much anymore. By now she was just enjoying her time with them whilst the air played with her hair as she got lost in the music.
Yoongi looked on, feeling proud of her accomplishments, but also feeling more and more uneasy. He couldn't help but be reminded of how his life had gone. How he had lost and had hurt. He truly hoped the girl wouldn't follow in his footsteps.
Melody was waiting for the guys to finish recording and whatever else they were supposed to be doing on their schedule. They had started the day in the dance studio and Melody had decided to stay. Hiding the fact that she was too uncomfortable to go outside by herself. She tried to ignore the questioning looks she got, the pointing fingers and the whispering.
Melody's eyes had always been a sore-spot for her with people thinking there was something wrong with her. No matter how much she tried to explain that she got them from her fathers side of the family, people wouldn't believe her. Tell her that the odds of that happening were simply too small. There had to be something wrong with her.
When she had been young her classmates would avoid her. Their parents warning them for the 'diseased girl' and that they would end up just like her if they came too close. It was only once they found out Melody's parents were rich that people started to talk with her. Melody had know that this was the reason. But she had ignored it, being too happy to finally have friends around her.
Then, as she started to realize she could turn into a cat, her hair had started to get more and more white. Resulting in the completely white hair she had now. Realizing how people had been when it was only her eyes, she was now too scared to hear what people had to say about her hair as well.
Melody looked around the door of the other dance studio. Looking at the poles that had been attached to the floor and ceiling. She swung and made a circle around the pole, trying to emulate what she had seen the other girls go previously. She wasn't too good at it. And looking at the mirror she was nothing like those girls had been, but it was fun! She felt like she was a little girl again, playing by herself in the jungle-gym that they had had in the playground.
"Not bad." a voice suddenly said.
Melody looked up, still hanging mid-air clutching to the pole. When she saw who it was that had suddenly entered the studio she let herself gracefully slide down with a smile on her face.
"It's fun!" She said, walking closer to the boy she was now starting to consider her savior for giving her a new life and letting her experience all these things.
"I can tell from that bright smile on your face." Yoongi pointed out, smirking. No matter how worried he was, he couldn't help but feel happy when he saw her like this. Truly in her element.
"You ready to go home?" He asked and he noticed the girls smile waver for a second.
"Not done yet?" He asked, fully well knowing she had been dancing for almost the entire day by now.
"No, I'm coming, just a sec." She said, grabbing her sweater from her bag. A smart more, since she would probably catch a cold if she didn't cover up more to go outside. It was when she pulled up her hood and started to tuck away her hair that Yoongi started to feel uncomfortable.
As they walked to the entrance of the building and went outside that he noticed how she walked all hunched up, looking at the ground and clearly uncomfortable.
"You don't have to do that for us by the way." He said as they walked into the apartment. "People assume you are part of our crew if they even notice you." Melody still seemed uncomfortable. Even more so that she had been caught in her actions.
"Don't you think I look weird?" She asked, playing with her hair in the mirror in Yoongi's room. She had just gotten out of his bathroom getting ready for bed.
"What?" Yoongi asked, walking past her, grabbing her hand and leading her to his bed where the both sat down on the edge. "No, I don't think you look weird. You just look like you." He said.
He patted on the bed next to him. Indicating that he wanted her to lie on the bed with him. It had been a while since Melody had slept in the same bed as him. Both of them needing their space and privacy. Melody laid down and was welcomed by a familiar feeling and scent. She sighed. It really had been too long.
Yoongi seemed to think the same thing, smiling as he looked at her, laying his arm on her waist hugging her as they enjoyed each others presence.
"I'm not weird?" Melody asked again, an insecure voice coming from under the covers.
"You're perfect." Yoongi whispered back, kissing the girls forehead and pulling her in tighter.
The next day a slightly annoyed Namjoon opened Yoongi's door, wondering why on earth his hyung wasn't awake yet. He forgot about his annoyance the moment he looked inside the room though, surprised by the sight of his Hyung hugging Melody in his sleep. Namjoon chuckled, but had to wake Yoongi up nevertheless since they had another busy schedule for today.
"What's taking so long?" Seokjin asked, following his dongsaeng into the room. Seokjin also couldn't help but fall silent, biting his lip to not laugh.
Namjoon finally managed to wake Yoongi up without his hyung getting too violent. And as the pink haired boy followed the others out of his room Seokjin let out a "Finally."
Not sure if his hyung was talking about Yoongi only coming out of his bed now, or the position he was found him, Yoongi decided to ignore the comment. His face slowly starting to match his hair as Namjoon kept wiggling his eyebrows.
"What happened?" Jungkook asked, noticing the strange behavior.
"Nothing happened." Yoongi answered, his face really filling in the last spots to turn completely red.
"Still?!" Namjoon asked surprised. The others were slowly starting to understand what they must have been talking about.
"She's completely new to this type of life, still getting used to everything, I can't just ask her out or anything." Yoongi tried to explain himself. Ignoring the rolling eyes of Seokjin and Hoseok.
"But she said she liked you." Jungkook said, really not understanding what was going though the second oldest's mind.
Yoongi stayed quiet for a second, letting that news in.
"That doesn't mean I can just ask her. Who's to say if she will mind it?"
the boys stayed silent for a bit, annoyed with Yoongi's stubborn-ness when a voice was heard from the other side of the room.
"I wouldn't mind at all."
