I think it is very important for people to realize that you can always start something new.

I have studied fashion, only to stop after one semester. Then I studied international business management, only to stop after 2 years. Then I studied to be a pastry chef and actually graduated from school with the highest diploma you could get in that field.

Now I work in the restaurant of a hotel, not in the kitchen but as serving staff. I am learning so many new things and honestly, though I took a very long road and I am still no where near the end, I wouldn't change a thing!

Every road has ups and downs, and every step is a lesson.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but trust me, you will be ok.

Not all roads lead to Rome, but not everyone wants to end up in Rome. ;)

To anyone wondering, I want to own my own bakery/cafe and just live happily with my future family.

Anyhow, enough with the cheesy motivational stuff. On with the story!

As the guys got ready and packed their stuff to go back to their apartment a group of girls could be heard walking by. Melody looked up and for a second the guys also seemed confused.

"Ahhhh, I remember. Gfriend needed a place to practice as their usual studio gets fixed." Hoseok said. Thinking back to what they had been told earlier that day. The boys nodded, now too remembering their manager telling them of this. Melody opened the door and looked at the girls who were entering the studio a few doors over.

"Pretty." She hadn't meant to speak her thoughts, the word just kinda slipped from her lips. 

When the boys were finally ready to leave and they left the studio Melody looked through the window of the other studio to see the girls dancing. They were pole-dancing, but it didn't look anything like how Melody was told pole-dancing looked. Melody was taught that dancing, other than ballet and ballroom, was tacky and the worst thing a human could do to herself and those around her, pole-dancing being the worst version of all. This looked more like moving art though. The elegance, but strength that they showed... Melody couldn't help but be entranced. 

Maybe there were more things that she had been wrong about, Melody thought, skipping her way over to the boys who had kept walking whilst she was staring at the girls. She grabbed Yoongi's arm when she reached him and looked up with a wide grin on her face. There was so much to explore, and now, thanks to Yoongi and his friends, she was finally getting the chance.

Melody's next few days were filled with studying, dancing in the studio and walks in the park where she would quietly observe people, just living their lives. She wondered what their lives were like and what lessons they could teach her if she wasn't too shy to ask them. Maybe one day she would, but right now she was content just observing from a distance and eating her ice-cream.

One day as Melody was studying behind the laptop that Yoongi had so kindly bought her (nothing too expensive, she had made sure of that), the door opened and an unknown smell entered the house.

Melody still very much relied on her animal like instincts to feel truly safe and comfortable. This unknown scent however, it made her a bit uncomfortable. Melody immediately got up, and got some strange looks from the others at her sudden action.

"Tan-ah, calm down!" They could hear Taehyung yell as he took off his jacket by the front door and Jimin couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"Are you scared of dogs?" He asked curiously at the girl who was trying really hard to ignore her instincts and climb on top of the couch.

"Why would she be scared of dogs?" Namjoon asked, only now looking up from his book. Jimin's only answer was a small 'meow'. And they all got his point. The others also tried to hide their smiles at the actions of the girl, especially when Yeontan came closer to them and her face showed clear restraint.

Taehyung, who had been so busy with his pet that he hadn't noticed the commotion picked up the dog and tried to introduce it to Melody. Both Melody and Yeontan seemed scared of each other. Melody out of instinctual fear, and Yeontan out of confusion and also because he was an absolute coward.

How on earth could there be this big a cat? Yeontan thought, sniffing the smell of the girl. But then she also looked human... Were the cats trying to take over the human race? Yeontan barked, demanding an answer from this human-like feline that was just staring at him with big eyes.

'You're not a cat, you are human. A human way bigger than this dog.' Melody kept telling herself. No matter how many times she had been chased away by big scary dogs that she in her tiny cat-form couldn't fight, she was human now. She was bigger than this dog. She was stronger. She didn't have to be scared.

Melody took a step back and smiled at Taehyung. "He's cute" Taehyung smiled and Jungkook took Yeontan away from him to play.

Taehyung smiled back and started talking all about his dog, showing pictures and video's from when it was a puppy. Meanwhile the other members were gleefully playing with the Pomeranian that they all liked. Slowly but surely Melody started getting used to the presence of the pet and Yeontan's interest in the girl seemed to fade as well.

"My parents asked to if we could keep him here for a while whilst they go on a trip." Taehyung said. He had of course immediately agreed to it since it was originally his pet after all.  "Would you mind walking him a few times during the day when we aren't here?" He asked as sweetly as he could and Melody swallowed.

She looked at the tiny dog that she had already noticed wasn't much of a treat.

"Of course I can! I am you guy's guest after all!" She said with the same smile on her face that she had had for the past few days.

Seokjin looked at her, impressed with how her attitude towards the pup had changed in just a short while. He could tell that she wasn't 100 percent convinced herself that she could do it. But she took up the challenge with her head held high.
