*James pov*

Tonight was amazing, it was going by fast, but I couldn't ask for a better ending. We kissed, and it was like I literally got sent to heaven, her lips are heaven.

We're both back now, I'm laying in bed just thinking about everything that happened, Jennifer is in the guest room probably asleep, we got back at 10, and we were both pretty tired, so we just went to bed.

It's now midnight so I've been laying here, thinking, for about 2 hours, I'm just still excited on the inside. I never thought that not only my client, but Jennifer Lopez, an amazing talented beautiful girl, would actually give me a chance. I really hope that things can work out. But I'm also kind of guilty, since all that stuff with Alex happened, what if she's just vulnerable, and I'll be lead on. It also seems bad, since I'm her body guard, a lot of people would think its wrong, and what if people think we've been together, and that she was actually cheating on Alex with me?!

My heart started pumping fast, I need to hold myself together, I kissed her, I got myself into this, and no matter what, I'll be there for her.

About 20 minutes later I've finally started drifting in and out of sleep, but right when I'm about to fall asleep, I see a crack of light seep into my room. The door slowly opened, I squinted my eyes a little since the Hallway light was bright. I saw Jennifer's head peak in, I couldn't see her face, but I knew it was her.

I sat up with my elbows holding my weight. She stepped all the way in and lightly shut the door behind her. I could see her better since the light wasn't in my eyes. She was wearing a big t-shirt, and I'm guessing a pair of shorts since the shirt was covering her up.

She was leaning against the door and playing with her fingers. "I can't sleep.." she says and looks up at me. "Are you ok did something happened. "No-I- I'm just scared." She says and looks away.  "Can I sleep with you?" She asks giving me puppy dog eyes. I laugh and shake my head. "Uhh, sure, why not." I shrug and scooch over giving her room. She smiles and tiptoes over to the bed. She slowly gets in under the covers and lays down facing me.

I lay back down facing her. "What are you thinkin about?" I say poking her playfully. She smiles and looks down. "You.." she responds looking back in my eyes. Ok that was cute, did she just give me butterflies?? I think she did. I smile then peck her on the lips, slowly, I pull back and she's smiling so hard, I smile too. "Goodnight." I say. She moves in close to me and takes my arm and places it around her self. "Goodnight." She says and sighs. Then we fall asleep

*jens pov*

I woke up to my phone going off. I saw James facing the other way beside me still asleep. So I sat up and looked at my phone. There were so many messages and missed calls from Alex.

Alex: so where have you been all this time??

Alex: I know you're going to come back, so just come on.🤷‍♂️

Alex: I've been thinking about you.

Alex: people are telling me you're with James? Is that true?! The damn bodyguard?"

Alex: Jennifer, fucking answer me already!

Alex: I'm tired of this bullshit! You're really being a bitch, you know what don't come back, I have plenty other options, you should know.

I roll my eyes and flop my phone on the bed. I put my head in my hands and try not to cry. Tears start to roll down and my body starts to quiver. I don't think he understands how much he hurts me.

"Jennifer?" James says in a raspy voice.

I just stay silent and he moves my hands away from my face so he can see me. "Woah, whats wrong?" He asks concerned. I start to say something, but instead I just start bawling my eyes out, he pulls me in really fast and strokes my hair.

"It's ok." He says still holding me. I sit up and hand him my phone showing him the messages. "Oh m- is he fucking serious? This pisses me off." He says with a serious tone. He rubs his forehead with a stressed look. "Ok, don't, just don't let him get to you, he's worthless, you have me, and I have you, I'm here for you." He kisses my forehead. I smile. "Thankyou.." I say with a soft tone.

I get up and take a shower in the guest bedroom since my clothes are in there. Then I get dressed, I hear the shower turn on in james room, so I just go downstairs and make a smoothie.

"You ready?" James asks coming down the stairs. "Yeah." I say and finish my smoothie. We're going to meet with my lawyer. I wanna get this over with now more than ever.
