"Alex just sign the fucking papers!" I yell. "How many times have I said I'm not going to." He aggressively shrugs. I sigh and sit on the couch, I try to get myself together and calm down. "Alex..." I say softly with my hand on my forehead. "The court has already given you a final hearing on the divorce, do you really want them to look into our lives and make the decision there selves?" I ask looking at him like he's crazy..which he is. "What do you honestly think is going to come out of this? Huh? I'll forgive you, we'll get on with our lives like nothing happened? Maybe have some kids while you're still stepping out on me? That's what you think?!" I get louder.

He sits beside me and places his hand on my thigh. "I-just don't wanna lose you, you're everything I want in a girl." He push's a piece of my hair behind my ear. Tears start to form in my eyes. "Yet..I'm still not good enough for you Alex." I say making eye contact and my voice shaking. "You are baby.." he raises his brows. "N-no I'm obviously not since you wanna keep fucking around with little bitches. I've given you everything.... my money, my house, my family....my love. What happened to us? We wanted to travel together, start a family...I've helped you with so much. And all you do is fuck me...and fuck me over." A tear makes its way down my cheek.

"Just... just sign the papers, it's the least you could do after putting me through your bullshit." I say moving his hand off my thigh. He sighs and looks away. "Alright..." he looks at me. I sigh with relief, I'm finally getting out of this. "I didn't want it to end this way ya know." He says softly. "Of course you didn't.." I force a smile and pat his leg and stand up. Then I walk out the door.

I guess I'm glad we eventually talked, I honestly didn't expect him to cooperate.

-

About 3 hours later I'm at James house on his couch, and I get an email saying the divorce has been finalized. Wow, he must've gone straight to our lawyer and signed the papers. I mean the sooner the better I guess.

"Ok, I'm ready Jennifer." James says as he comes downstairs with his suitcase. "Alright." I say and stand up. He's heading to Chicago for the weekend to visit family, so he's dropping me off at Leahs on the way there.

-

We're listening to music almost at Leahs house, then James places his hand on my thigh and slowly strokes my skin with his thumb. "I'll miss you." He says with his eyes still on the road. I smile and grab his hand holding it. "I'll miss you too." I tilt my head looking at him. "Don't have too much fun without me." I pout. "Oh yeah, playing uno with my mom is pretty wild." He says sarcastically. I laugh then look forward at the road.

-

"Drive safe!!" I yell to James as he pulls out of Leahs driveway. Shortly after, Leah opens the door for me to come in. "Hiii beautiful." I say stepping in her house. "Hey babe." She says calmly. She shuts the door then hugs me really tight. "Damn, I missed you too." I giggle. "I really did miss you." She says buried in my neck. I laugh and pull away looking at her. "Your cheek bones look a-m-a-zing." I exaggerate. "Yeah?" She asks feeling her cheeks. "Yeah, very defined." I say in a fancy accent as I walk to the kitchen.

"Well yours do too, as always of course." She rolls her eyes and I laugh. Then I go in her cabinet and pull out a bottle of wine. "Damn, walkin in here like you own the place." She sits at the stools. "You know it bitch." I say examining the bottle. She looks at me with one eyebrow raised. "It's red wine dumb hoe." She says pointing at the red liquid in the bottle. "Yeah, I can see that, but it's also Bordeaux..." I point to the label. "Shut the hell up and give me some already." She rolls her eyes.

I haven't seen Leah since that one time...but we both agreed it was just a mistake. And I'm pretty sure I'm falling for James pretty hard. I actually would have a fling with Leah, but I don't want to confuse her or get in her head. I don't even know if she likes girls or...I just don't know. Maybe I'll find out tonight.

-

"So he finally signed the papers?" Leah raises her brows. "Yup." I take a sip of my whine. "Didn't expect that, stubborn headass." She shakes her head then sips her wine. "So what have you been up to, since I spilt all my tea." I sit up looking at her. "Hmmm, sleeping, work, spongebob, work-" I cut her off. "Y-you watch spongebob?!" I laugh. "Fuck yes, the fuck you mean?!" She responds.

"Ok..that's everything..and I fucking love you." I say and blindly reach for my wine. But I accidentally knock it over and it shatters on the ground. "Fuck!" I jump. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry lee." I say with guilt. "It's fine mama don't worry about it." She gets up to grab a towel as I start to pick up the pieces. "Jen it's fine, I don't want you to cut yourself." She walks back with a towel. "I got it." I say and pick up the rest of the pieces then throw them away in the kitchen. "I'm really sorry." I say leaning on the counter as she walks over and rinses the towel in the sink. "Jen it's ok, at least I don't have carpet." She giggles. "Then i'd fuck you up." She jokes.

Then she opens the cabinet to reach for another glass. "What are you doing?" I ask and she stops and puts her hand back down. "I'm not drinking alone." She perks her head out. "I don't wanna break another glass." I pout. "Ok then just drink wine with me and don't break it." She shrugs and giggles. "Ugh, fine." She smiles then reaches for the glass again.

As she reaches her sleeve rises up her arm a little, and I see something on her wrist. I ignored it for a second, but then I realized they were cuts. Fuck.

She pulls a glass out and sets it on the cabinet. "Leah.." I say and look down. "What's up?" She grabs the bottle of wine. I was gonna ask her about it, but then I remembered whenever I confronted my sister Linda about it she would get so upset and cry. So I decided to leave it alone...for right now.

"N-nothing, just missed you.." I smile. "Awe, I missed you too. Now don't break this one." She giggles and hands me the glass of wine.
