Chapter 3
We had a deal.
Jeon Jungkook's POV.
I'm walking down the hallway of the fancy hotel. It was a hotel I've been staying for this past year, and I just got back from Korea for a short meeting with my mother and since the owner of this hotel is my father's best friend. I got to stay for free and able to stay here as long as I wanted. My eyes were focused on a pair of couple who were fighting and I enjoyed it so much I didn't noticed someone was in front of me. It felt like a déjà vu." Well, today sure my lucky day. " I heard a girl's voice muttered.
" Are you okay? I'm very sorry, I did not see you " I bowed my head as a sorry manner. But wait, I think this voice is too much familiar that I can't ignore. Why she sounded like the girl at the airport?
" Wait, aren't you the girl at the airport? " I pointed out. I'm too sure that she's the girl! I remembered her figure and her hair's colour. I couldn't let her out of my mind since before.
Before I could say anything more.
She ran away.
" Hey! "
I kept on calling her and she speed her pace until she was out of my sight. No..
Why do I feel sad? I was washed with cold and emptiness. It happened again. I am feeling this once again. Only toward her but I don't even know who was she. She was a stranger and yet..
" I'm sorry. "
" Don't go. "Suddenly my phone rang. ( Imagine what song do you prefer the most of BTS ). I looked at the caller and sighed then press the answer button.
" Hello, mom? " The one and only.
" Have you met that girl? " I groaned in frustration.
" Not yet. Hey mom, can you do me a favor? " I asked.
" Fine, but you must meet that girl first or no deal at all. " She replied. She should stop mentioning the girl. Stop being so mom, mom.
" Alright, deal." I sighed.
" Then, what do you need? " She asked.
" I want to go back to Korea. I hate being here, mom. I miss Korea! I want to meet them. The visit was too short and I missed my chance to meet them. " I stated, the feeling of missing my brothers is too much. They were the one who always by my side through thick and thin.
" W-Wait... Y-you can't. " Mom stuttered.
I smirked, knowing she has lost to me and don't have anything to go against me anymore.
" Of course I can. We had a deal. I know you. You hate breaking promises, aren't you? That's not you. So, which one is it? I meet the girl or not. " I smiled in triumph.
" Alright! You're going back, but you have to meet the girl first. "
" The deal done. "
I mentally cheered inside. I bid my goodbye over the phone to mom and ended the call. I walked to my room. I opened the door with the key I had in my pocket and locked it back again once I stepped inside. I took off my jacket then threw myself on the bed. My mind suddenly reminded me of her. She's pretty... I...
Then I remembered I need to meet the girl.
" Maybe I should take a walk first before meeting her. " I said to myself then grabbed the jacket and walked off again.
I pushed my leg to the lake that I accidentally found on my way to the hotel. I sat under the shady tree and looked around. The view was stunning in the cold night. It calmed me down. I'm too drawn to remember the blind date. I don't want to go there.
" Trouble knows how to find me somehow. " I talked to myself while messing with my hair. Why can't I just stay here forever?
I looked at the time and decided to go to the restaurant that mom already booked for 'us'.
I grabbed a cab then after waiting a few minutes I arrived there and passed by the glassy transparent door.
" Sir, do you have an appointment? "
I turned back and see a man with waiter outfit.
"Yes. Miss Hyoyeon, please. " I said.
" This way. " The waiter smiled at me then pointed to the way where she was.
I found a woman sitting there alone with a smartphone in her hand, playing with it, she saw me then smiles. She's hot, which can I say. What? I'm a boy with hormones beside she's truly hot though, such a waste I have to reject her. I walked to her with a fake smile plastered on my face.
She pointed to the seat next to her. I smiled then took the seat.
" Hi, my name is Park Hyoyeon. " She pulled out her hand and I gratefully caught it.
" As you already know, one and only. I'm Jungkook. " I said with a pretty smile on my face. She giggled at my joke, and I mentally cringe inside my head. Looks too fake for me.
" How old are you? " She asked me while smiling, even though she was hot but I somehow found her annoying.
" 18. " I answered shortly. I turned my gaze to beside me and found an old sweet couple sitting next to us more interesting than her.
" You're so young. Why even your mother told you to marry me? "
I shifted my eyes to her.
" Correction. My mother 'forced' me to. " I returned the reply.
" So, you tell me you hate this blind date? " She asked again.
Finally, you realized! Congratulation! I cheered inside.
" Of course. Now that you know the truth. Can I go now? I totally don't like this place. The food is horrible. "
" Alright." She said, making me confuse. Just a single okay?
She smiled. " Honestly, I don't like this arrangement too. My dad forced me for his company's sake. We just have to tell our parents how this thing doesn't work. " she said
I think this is the best thing had ever happened. I smiled like crazy, she's not that bad. I nodded my head and agreed.
" Thank you so much. I hope you happy with your love one " I said then waved at her. Finally, I'm free. Mom can't force me back. I'm going back to Korea. Goodbye Paris. Thank you for your so-called memories. After 1 year I finally can meet my brothers.
