It was the 29th of March, the day of  Taehyung's crush and officially favorite noona, Joohyun's birthday.

He felt embarrassed after buying fake toy jewelry for Joohyun late last night, but once Joohyun accepted it with tearful eyes Taehyung felt relieved and slightly confused.

Why would she cry because of the cheap gift?

He had yet to ask her, but first he had to end off the week's classes as it was Friday.

"Aacck, aish!" Jimin walked out of his room stretching, not noticing Taehyung was seated on the couch drinking hot chocolate.

"Hehe good morning Jimin-ah." Taehyung looked at Jimin who got a fright after hearing Taehyung's voice.

"Dude you scared me! Why are you dressed already and where's Jungkook?" Jimin flattened his hair which was standing all over the place and too made himself a cup of hot chocolate.

"Still sleeping. He only had one class today - Which according to him is the most boring class - So he's staying in." Taehyung began eating his rice porridge which has cooled off.

"Oh okei." Jimin yawned and suddenly realized that Taehyung never told him about last night after he wished Joohyun.

"Hey, how did it go? Did she accept the gift?"

"Of course, she liked it so much that she... She laughed and said thanks." Taehyung did not reveal that Joohyun cried or hugged him. He felt like that was a personal thing he wanted to keep between him and Joohyun, even if she told her friends, but he doubted she would.

"Ah that's good news my man. It's still whole day her birthday, so wish her properly." Jimin walked to the kettle which has boiled.

"Oh did you see Seulgi?" Jimin asked with an excited look on his face.

"Haha no sorry. I didn't go inside. Would you like me to ask Joohyun noona for her number?"

"Yes please! I've known the woman for a while and we both still at the awkward stage. I need to go a date with her too." Jimin moaned sighing in frustration.

"I'll see what I can do." Taehyung smiled and told Jimin he was on his way to campus as he had a class earlier than Jimin's.

Once he left the apartment he took out the note from his bag that he wrote the night before. He then walked to Seulgi and Joohyun's apartment sliding the note underneath the door, hoping that Joohyun would see it before she left for work.

I was hoping that we can go out tonight - if you don't have plans that is. Otherwise, we can go out tomorrow :)

He smiled proudly and went to college, hoping to be back before 3pm.

Joohyun responded quickly to Taehyung's note, messaging him two hours after he got to campus. She told him she'd be going out with her friends for the night but that tomorrow night would be perfect.

Once it was Saturday evening, Taehyung prepared for the date, dressing up in a formal black pants, and casual grey and white shirt. He too had plenty of time to buy Joohyun a gift which was a Ryan teddy bear and scented candles. He didn't know what to buy her at first. However, the shop assistant mentioned that introverts like Joohyun accept any kind of gift as it's the thought that counts.
