CHAPTER 2

nianna shot up from her chair, knocking it over. every eye turned to her but she didn't see them. she only saw her sisters hand, waving mockingly before vanishing. julianna had ended the spell but nianna felt her stronger than ever. she felt dizzy and was swallowing a lump from her throat. the walls were closing in and she had to get out. she grabbed her bag and run out the door. she didn't pay attention to the surprised shouts of mr winding, she just knew if she didn't get out soon she'd go crazy.

she didn't stop until she was in her car. there she let the tears flood her eyes and the sadness take over. she was screaming and tearing her hair, seeing nothing through the tears that swimmed in her sapphire blue eyes. just when she had thought julianna couldn't hurt her anymore, she had done the worst imaginable thing. she had ran away...to join the Sihirs?! the tattoo on her hand was forever burned in her brain and nianna thought she just might die of heartbreak.

the Sihirs were a coven of dangerous and ruthless witches. that's why vampires seak their help and in return, vampires gave witches blood. it was a unison feared through out the supernatural world. nianna had never understood what was the appeal in joining the Sihirs, especially when there was such a high price to pay.  she and julianna had all the reasons in the world to hate them. a vampire had killed their mother 5 years ago, so it was even more unbelievable julianna would help the bastards.

nianna had no idea how long she had been crying. by the time she was all cried out the sun was already set and the schools parking lot was empty. her eyes were so swollen and sore it was hard to see. she had poured all the sadness she had into her tears. now she was just..empty. a nibbling pain was still present but it was the only emotion she had left. she had broken things were her heart should be.

she didn't remember much of the return home, she had been on autopilot. she was too busy thinking what to do now. she should tell somebody what julianna had said. then she snorted. yeah right, cause she had so many who she could tell. should she tell one of her friends? family? how about lighting the bat-signal while she was at it. hell, she didn't have friends. she didn't have a family anymore. the irony of the situation wasn't lost on her and nianna let out a hollow laugh that echoed in her empty apartment. she had no one, and for once she regretted pushing everyone away.
