"Mammina, why can't I go with you? I never go with you anytime you have to go home"Jayson complained
"I'm sorry baby, I promise you will go with me the next time I'm going home"Summer pleaded
"That's what you said the last time Madre and the time before that, it's not fair mamma"Jayson kept complaining.
She noticed he had started picking up little Italian from all the soap opera that showed on the television. He had become quite addicted to Italian movies, she sometimes wondered if it was because of his heritage.
"This time I mean it baby, you are going there next time"Summer said.
"Okay Mommy,I believe you. Just be safe and take care of yourself. I love you Mommy and don't forget pictures." Jayson said.
"Okay Jay-Jay, I would also get you chocolates. Be good for Shirley okay? I love you"Summer replied.
And with that Summer hugged him, planting a kiss on his forehead. Out through the front door, she entered her car and looked at the ticket in her hand. She was going home to Birmingham and she was going back to see her sisters. It felt strange after almost a year.
She wasn't ready to see them but she wanted to know if they were well, maybe, now he was dead there would be peace amongst them all. That was her prayer everyday. She was tired of having to pretend she didn't care about them and wanted a competition with them. Although, in her defense she had to, that's something they had always done ever since they could say papa. She wondered if they had competed for who to say papa first and she chuckled at the thought of it. She knew it'd started way back as who would walk first and ever since then, they have been competing.
With Autumn in her mind, she didn't realize she had gotten to the airport until her driver called her name.
She came down from her car, headed towards her boarding gate and got on the plane making a mental note to call Autumn when she arrived.
Autumn had just finished her presentation when her alarm rang reminding her of her flight by 2pm. She looked at her time and she had about an hour to get breakfast. Gosh she was famished as she hadn't eaten any thing all day. So she grabbed her bag and rushed into the nearest restaurant to eat.
Getting there she ordered Chinese rice and Apple drink and after settling down she checked the time and realized she had about 30 minutes left. Apparently, she had spent more time waiting for the food. Eating hurriedly she left the restaurant. Outside there were no cabs and she was running late. She kept pacing in her anxiety. She didn't want to be late to the airport not because she couldn't pay the fare but because she had an appointment at Westminster and getting there late would ruin everything possibly even delaying her going home till the weekend and she didn't want that because she was sure Winter would then  come in. she had always loved the spotlight so coming in when everyone had settled down would give her that attention.
She finally found a cab and made her way to the airport.
She got there and just in time too because her flight was already being called.
She quickly entered the plane and sat down on her assigned seat, thinking of the package she had ordered since for her dad that was going to arrive this evening. A package she planned to give him for the weekend when she visited, when she believed he was still alive.
Her flight landed and she hurriedly went to the arrivals and saw her driver waiting,he greeted her and took her bags then drove her home.
As she got to her house, she saw the package was just arriving and she was very glad she made it in time. She came down and went to the delivery car and collected the package, leaving a very large tip. She got into her house, kicked her shoes off and began unwrapping the package. It was a picture of herself and her dad when she was 10. They had gone to the summer house alone because her remaining siblings chose the summer camp over spending time with family because they wanted to meet new friends and show off. Not her though, she was perfectly fine being just daddy's girl and wanted time with him so she went and she never regretted it. The picture was of them at the beach trying to build a sand castle. She hadn't seen the picture until early this year and she figured a painting of that memory would be a lovely gift to take home to her daddy and maybe get an I love you and also give her other siblings another hurdle to beat in their competition but now all those thoughts were down the drain because daddy was dead and that was that. With that, she entered her bathroom, had a shower and went to lay on her bed planning to wake up later in the night to pack her bags for her trip on Thursday. In her mind, she said a big thank you to Winter and thereafter fell asleep.
Winter had just gotten back from work and was really tired but then her mind wandered towards her siblings and how she would be seeing them again after almost 5 years of them all being together in one house. She thought of Summer, Spring then herself and finally Autumn. She remembered the day she got a call that Autumn had been involved in an accident. She acted indifferent over the phone but in reality she was almost crying. She didn't want to loose any of her sisters even though they couldn't stand each other. Especially not Autumn she was her little sister and it was her duty to take care of her. Winter decided she would go home on Saturday that way everyone would be home. That way she would have all the attention and also that would give her enough time to practice abstinence from drugs if she wanted this week to be hitch free and any reason for her siblings to gloat around.

Spring just got to work at around 5pm, closing time for her colleagues but she didn't mind as she usually got her inspirations in the cool evening. Well, she got to work since that was the only way she could distract herself from her father's death and the fact that she had to spend her weekends with her siblings. She had called her therapist earlier and reminded her of her appointment on Wednesday because she planned to go home Thursday. Unfortunately, her secretary forgot to update her schedule so her therapist already left Glasgow and wouldn't be available. Trying not to get upset, she buried herself in work for the next few hours and began designing.
When she felt she was done for the day, she called her driver who drove her home. Not having any particular plans for the night, she got into bed and retired for the night.
