I walked to Eikko's room and knocked on his door. It had been two hours since the baby doctor's appointment. I had finished getting the gift ready for Mom and Dad. After that, Iva requested to help me get ready. I accepted her request and got changed. It was an ombre dress. It faded from white to purple. It had a belt full of flowers made of fabric and a flowery neckline.

I had the gift under my arm

I had the gift under my arm. He answered the door and smiled.

"You know you don't need to knock. You can just walk in. What is mine is yours! After all, I wouldn't want my beautiful wife and child to be waiting outside for me." I just laughed as he closed the door, ready for what the night would bring.

Mom, Dad, Ahren, Camile, Kaden, Osten, Josie, Marlee, and Carter were all waiting for us. I sat down smiling.  Ahren and Camille were going to leave when all the other guests that came for the weddings did, but they decided to stay here with family for a little while.

Dinner ran smoothly. I was anxious when we saw dessert come out. I looked at Eikko, and he looked back at me. He knew I was anxious about their reactions. He gave me a reassuring smile, and I calmed down a bit.  As soon as the palace staff left, I stood up. Everybody stared at me. Eikko must have caught on to what I was about to announce because he stood up seconds after I did. He put an arm around my waist as the whole room continued to look confused.

"We have an early gift for you Mom. Well, it is for everyone actually. We couldn't wait to give it to you on your birthday.  We knew that Camille and Ahren won't be here forever and decided to give it to everybody today." Mom looked surprised and curious. I motioned giddily for everyone to come and sit on the couches to the side of the room. Mom sat next to Dad (of course) while the others sat on the other couches, leaning in to see what was happening. Eikko and I were the only two left standing.

"But my birthday isn't until May! It is only October and-"

"No buts! We can't wait till May, and Dad's birthday is even further away! Just think of it, as an early Halloween gift!"

Eikko handed the gift to Mom. She smiled and gently slid the bow off from around it. She opened the lid and drew back the tissue paper. She turned to us, smiling, at the sight of a new pair of jeans. The rest of the room looked confused because jeans did not really apply to them.

"Thank you Eikko and Eady-"

"There is more in there." She lifted up the jeans and saw the shirt. She unfolded it and put her hand to her mouth. I then realized she was crying. I could not help but smile at her reaction. Everybody looked at her confused. She showed Dad first. He ran up to me and enveloped me in a hug. I saw that he was crying. Everybody else stared, confused. Mom then showed everyone. They all ran up to me. I was held so tightly, I thought I might suffocate. I did not mind, because I felt so loved at that moment.  When everybody else let go, Mom stayed hugging me. I saw Dad peer into the box, and he saw the last two parts of the gifts.

"Ames, do you want to see our grandchild?" She turned to Dad and nodded. She walked back to him, and he wiped the tears off of her cheek. He wrapped his arm around her and kissed her forehead. She then saw he was crying too. Mom wiped the tears off his cheek. They looked at their grandchild, and I could see their connection at that moment. If only they would tell me the full story of their selection. I knew it was personal to them, but one day I will ask.

The whole room continued to buzz about the heir that would be born next July. I just smiled at my family. The next thing to focus on is the Halloween Ball. Mom and Dad told me Halloween was celebrated before the United States of America changed into Illea. When Dad had his selection, Mom told him she heard about the holiday. They looked it up one day and found out what it was. Apparently, it was a holiday where kids dressed up in a costume went from door to door saying 'trick or treat' and received candy for it. Dad decided to host a Halloween ball, and that stays tradition every year to this day. Every year, Mom and Dad win the best couples costume. Last year they went as Anna and Kristoff. It was from Frozen which is one of Mom's favorite Disney movies.

This year, Eikko and I had a chance. Our idea is sure to overpower whatever Mom and Dad have planned. Then again, we do not even know what they were planning to be. Eikko came up to me and put his head on my shoulder. I smiled and kissed his cheek.  I just wanted to live in that moment forever. All too soon, a maid came in to check on us. She stared at me as if to question the commotion. I nodded at her, signaling there was no problem, and she curtsied then left the dining room.

"I'm going to go talk to Mom if you don't mind Eikko."

"Of course my beautiful queen." He then mockingly curtsied at me. I playfully glared at him, and he just laughed at me. He kissed my forehead, and I went over to talk to Mom.

She was sitting on the couch, right by Dad. I smiled when I got over there, and I noticed they were still crying.

"Are you both alright? I noticed you were crying, and I wanted to make sure you were ok."

"Of course we are okay! Our baby girl is pregnant, and we are going to be grandparents!" Dad said this, and Mom rested her head on his shoulder.

"I know. Another good reason I didn't wait to tell you. Also, you would have figured it out by then. I would look like I have a melon in me!" Mom laughed at that comment. I sat down next to Mom, and she rubbed my shoulder.

"If you need any help with the duties we will be sure to help! I know you will be so busy taking care of yourself and the precious baby during the pregnancy and you can't risk that Eady. I helped your Mom out with her duties when she was pregnant and I can-"

"Dad! I will be fine! I have Eikko, and he is doing very well with his work! The reason I became queen is so you both had time off!" I saw him look at Mom, and she gave him a look. I did not know what the look meant, but I knew Dad did. He ended up letting it go. I stayed there for a few more minutes having a baby discussion with my parents. I looked over to the table, and realize that our dessert was still there. I stood up, and all attention was on me.

"Who wants dessert?"
