It was the thirteenth of November, just minutes before her grand birthday celebration starts. The memories we made suddenly drew in my mind one by one. 

She erased my worst past and had helped me for who I am today. 

She was the apple of my eye. 

An elegant art that's beautiful either way I look at her. 

All of the memories sank right into my mind, includes the sweetest and the most bitter memories I accidentally stabbed within her heart. 

That's when she started hating me. I am Cruxi Jimenez and this is my journey in making Mema Cosford fall in love with me.

Isang linggo makalipas ang kanyang kaarawan, isang tipikal na araw nanaman ang aking gugugulin hindi sa pag-aaral ng Computer Graphics. I am not just in my senses to study over and over with all the Computer Programming kind of crap. 

A friend called, said that I should come over ten, hindi ko pa man naitatanong kung para saan ang pagkikitang iyon ay binabaan na niya ako. It took me some minutes to decide whether I should go over or not. I texted some of my friends to come too but none of them replied.

Tumalon ako sa kama mula sa kinatatayuan ko, always pinning her name at the tip of my tongue. A ring from my phone excitedly aroused my mood, my expectations in mind was right.

Tumatawag si Mema, hearing her sweet voice uplifted my mood. Asking me if I am okay, how's my day going, what's my plan for the weekend and she also shared something about her to me. I am torn of asking her to have a coffee date with me or hindi nalang ako magyayaya. Hindi ko pa naman alam kung sila pa man din ba nung dating boyfriend niya na I admittingly got jealous with. 

"Would you mind if I asked us to have a friendly coffee date? My treat, Cruxi!" 

Nasanay na akong pumayag sa mga pagyayaya niyang iyan. Ngayon nga lang ay parang mahirap na pumayag, a part of me is afraid that his boyfriend will going to confront me in front of her. There's a big chance of that to happen. 

Naiintindihan ko naman ang ikinapuputok ng ugat sa katawan ng lalaking iyon, pero hindi ko gugustuhing makipagkasundo sa lalaking iyon para lang sa kanya. I would rather lock him down, steal his girl and escape too far away.

"Sure. I'll be there in ten minutes." During the ten minutes, I did my five-minute shower and did my remaining five minutes for eating, brushing and choosing for the casual outfit to wear. Finally done with all the grooming stuff, kinuha ko na ang susi ng sasakyan mula sa bulsa ng suit ko. 

"Where are you? Stay wherever you are at susunduin na kita." And texted her after.

"Hindi mo na ako kelangan sunduin. Sinundo na ako ng boyfriend ko kanina pa kaya nga andito na ako."

"Okay. I'm on my way." Hindi na ako nag-abalang magtanong pa. But I'm not sure, if his boyfriend stayed there with her or umalis na. Akala ko masusundo ko pa siya. 

Dahil sa hindi din ako mapakali, natanong ko siya kung kasama niya ba boyfriend niya, 

"Yes, he's with me. In fact he's excited to know you... kasi naman dati naikikwento lang kita sa kanya at 'di pa napapakilala sa personal."

"Okay, fine." Tsaka ibinaba ko yung phone ko kasi malapit na ako sa meeting place naming dalawa.

 Finally, dumating na din ako. Hmmm, this place is quite perfect. Mukhang si Mema pa mismo ang pumiling dito kami magkita sa place na ito. 

I'm just inches away from the glass door, nang maabutan ko silang nagtatawanan na tila ba may pinag-uusapan sila na kung anong nakakatawa.

Eventually, I stepped inside catching both of their attentions with Mema na siyang sinalubong ako at niyakap pa, "Buti naman at dumating ka, Crux."
