Authors note:
I'm really excited to finally be able to write down everything I've pictured in my mind. I'm planning on having a series to this book, so if you enjoy this one, plan on sticking around for awhile. I'm warning you though a lot of things go down in this book. In the end it will be worth it. Also, there is French in this story. I am definitely not fluent in French so please do not come at me if something wasn't spelled or said right. I'm only learning. Without further ado: lets get on with the story.

Axels POV:

"Brother, are you alright?" Nadia's voice shook me from my thoughts.

I chuckled darkly and faced my sister, dreading what she was about to tell me. Her eyes once filled with innocence and kindness, now filled with power and knowledge. Her short physique, tricked minds of the true strength she processed.

She brushed aside her long brown locks and gave me a strained smile. "Our father is dead." Once the words hit me, I bowed my head. Nadia's slim figure wrapped itself into my arms and she squeezed. "One day brother, you will be filled with happiness and stop seeing yourself as a broken monster."

My chest squeezed and tears threatened to come out. All of a sudden, my breathing became difficult and it felt as if burning hot flames were going down my throat. But as soon as it started it left. Warm power flowed into my body where my sister's hands lay on my back. "You mustn't mess with people's emotions. You wouldn't enjoy it." As hard as I might though, I relaxed into the power.

The notion of her being a witch still shook me to my core, but I guess the same could be said about me. She thought keeping her secret from me was protecting me, but I suspect she was scared of what our father would think. Of course he had accepted it in the end since she is the reason we are safe.

"Now that you have calmed down, we have more important matters to discuss." She backed away from me and forced me to look in her green eyes, the same ones I possess. "You are to be the next king, being the eldest."

I sighed feeling a great big wave of distress wash over me. "Sister. Please give me time. I'm in no place to manage this kingdom."

A determination like I've seen too many times came over her face. "Zayloon is destined for disaster and you know it. This place has gone far enough without a ruler, but you can't do alone. You need to find someone to help you." Her face softened a little, showing me she was just as worried.

I let go of a breath I did not know I was holding. "Finding a queen should be an easy feat." There are many powerful beings in this realm that would be able to help me.

"I don't think you realize what I'm asking of you. Your will be going back to Earth." I froze thinking of the one place that almost brought me to my downfall. I haven't been there in 320 years. My sister sought of that to protect me.

1701:

"Run!!!" Ezekiel's scream echoed down the alley way of London. Not to far behind us, dragons are flying in the sky. With speed un-human, we bolted out and into the forest. The rank smell of burning flesh invaded my nose causing vile to rise in my throat.

I turned slightly to look up only to see why I was smelling burning flesh. In the air, the red dragon was on fire, holding an incinerated Levi. I choked on air and forced my legs to keep moving. "Ezekiel, Levi is dead!"

A cry rang out and burst my ear drums. Levi was the youngest of the sibling and we all felt the need to protect him. He was only sixteen in human and vampire years. What did my family do to deserve this?
