Hazel's POV:

I held my breath once we entered my home. Many guys at this point would ask how much money I have or just try to hook up to get something out of me. But the worry washed away quickly when he turned and smiled. "You have a lovely home, Hazel." I swooned slightly from his gorgeous smile.

All of a sudden, I bent over from a burning in my stomach and I groan escaped my lips. It seemed to erupt inside of me and spread like a wild fire throughout my body. I chocked on air making my throat to set on fire. "Hazel. You are fine. Just take a deep breath." Axel's soothing voice sounded like a calm breeze in the wind. I closed my eyes letting the fire consume me and it eventually died out.

Axel's hand touched my arm and my stomach clinched. He slowly stepped closer to my body and wrapped his arms around me. At first I stayed still, but in time I felt myself relaxing into him. His embrace warmed my being and I sank my face into his chest. His heart beat pounded in my ear like a drum and I found myself slowly drifting away. Before I knew it, a tear slowly ran down my face and his thumb wiped it away.

He tilted my face upward and his eyes gleamed down at me. "What just happened confuses me to no end, but one day all your pain will no longer exist." As I was stepping away, black dots covered my vision and dizziness hit me like a train. The last thing I saw was Axel's hand reaching for me as I passed out.

Sitting up quickly, I notice Axel sitting in a chair next to me. His hands are buried in his hair and he is slightly shaking. Looking around, we are settled in my room that I have come to love. In the middle of my room is my big canopy bed with grey silk sheets, and a wood nightstand lays next to it. Big white glass doors lead out to my big empty balcony. Other than that the room is pretty bare. I always had Emmy decorate, so I found myself not wanting to do it.

All the events came rushing into my head and I slapped myself with embarrassment. What was I even thinking? I barely know this man and I let him basically cuddle me while standing up. Everything is going way to fast. Confusion hit me when I tried to come up with an explanation of what the hell happened.

I had just walked through the door and BOOM! Lights out for me.

Turning toward Axel, I watched as his back rippled with muscle and how he would take deep breaths every so often. "Ummm, are you alright?" My voice came out as I squeak, surprising me.

He cleared his throat and raised his head slowly. I gasped as his face held no emotion, starting us right off at the beginning. "Yah. I was just waiting to make sure you were alright." Not making eye contact at all, he got up to leave. Did I do something wrong?

"Wait!" He only paused, his back toward me. "You can pick any room you want. Breakfast is served at 8:30 by my maids, but I won't be staying long though cause I have work at 9:30. Just make yourself comfortable and if you need anything just ask." The whole time I spoke I looked down at the ground and when I looked up he was gone.

I huffed in frustration at how ungrateful this man is.

3 years ago:

Emmy and I groaned as we carried heavy boxes up the stairs with sweat dripping down our faces. We both sighed with relief as we set the boxes down with smiles. "Can you believe we are doing this!" Emmy squealed and jumped up into the air.

"Not really." I shook my head as I looked around our rundown apartment. I plugged my nose as a got a whiff of something dead. Great.

We got a two bedroom with one bath, but there is no kitchen. The Livingroom already had a couch with a tv stand, but the carpet seemed to be black from cigarettes. The window gave off the scenery of a brick wall and the curtains were burnt. Looks like we bought ourselves a dump.
