Missing You

🍭 | Part One: YUI

I walk around the halls looking for Kai and then, I saw him near the classroom door. He's staring at his phone. I ran up to him and his calm expression changed into an annoyed one.

"Good morning, Kai!" I say trying to get rid of his annoyance.

"Look, Yui, just quit it. Being engaged to you was annoying enough but following me around? Ah geez." Kaito says.

He's about to leave but my chest suddenly tightens. I can't breathe. My heart keeps on squeezing. The beeping of my watch that monitors my heart beats increase rapidly. I see the numbers rise. up.

"K-Kai, h-help." I manage to say before collapsing to the ground.

I awake in a hospital room. I immediately see Kaito staring at his phone. He notices me and again he looks annoyed. I sit up and turn away from him. I don't need his annoyed expression right now. I need my best friend. I need the Kai who cared a lot about others. But that was far from happening because of what he started to say.

"You always do this and heck, you can't even look me in the eye because you know what, you're just playing sick in front of everyone. I bet you complain to your dad about me and the investment always decreases. Ah geez, what the heck, Yui? What do you want me to do? I don't even like you." I hear the chair move and moments later I hear the door close.

I smile bitterly and cry everything out. One-sided love is too much to bear for a person with a weak heart.
