Alone

I feel alone,
but do not feel lonely.
There is a difference.

There is
no one
to turn to,
no one
to confide in,
and
no one
to trust.
That is what
it feels to be alone.

But I do not want to
turn to
anyone,
confide in
anyone,
or
trust
anyone.
I do not feel lonely.

I am simply alone.
