& lost
in the dark,
stumbling,
falling,
& crying
alone.
You were there
when I needed you
& when I didn't.
You waited
daily,
patiently,
& calmly
next to me.
You are my Saving Grace.
You lead me out
of the dark.
You stand next to me
smiling,
singing,
& dancing
when I begged you
to leave,
to give up on me,
to stop making me so happy.
You never left.
