Sighing I flopped down on the metal benches in the locker room reaching up I pulled my hair out off the suddenly too tight bun and let it flow down my back to try and relief the headache that I'd had since we left the last call, Sam, the guy who had taken a bad hit before he got trapped in the boiler room died on the way to med, we'd barely pulled away when the long, steady beep of the monitor indicated that he had gone.
"Hey." Brett said gently as she came and took a seat besides me, I did nothing but send her a small smile in reply. "Med just called, the girl, Marnie from this morning, she's gunna be fine, you saved her." She smiled as she nudged me slightly.
"That's great news." I smiled genuinely at the news. "I knew him." I said quietly as I looked at the ground. "I mean, not too personally, but I knew who he was. You remember Chester right?" I asked looking at her even hough I knew she did.
"You mean your ex-boyfriend who likes to randomly show up?" She joked making me laugh slightly. "I do."
"Sam was his dealer, well one of them." I shrugged slightly thinking back to how many different people I'd seen coming in and out of Chester's place over the time we were 'together'. "Anyway, enough about that, you wanna tell me what's up with you and the hot detective from this morning?" I grinned as a small blush started to rise on her cheeks.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She muttered unconvincingly as she looks away blushing once again making me raise a disbelieving eyebrow at her. "Okay fine, we've been on a couple of dates but that's it, I swear." She said raising her hands in mock surrender.
"Damn girl, you got good taste." I laughed as she pushed me slightly while trying not to laugh herself.
"And what about you and the lieutenant huh?" She smirked making me go quiet, a small smile lingering on my face. "Come on, I won't tell anyone I swear." She said holding out her pinky finger with puppy dog eyes staring at me.
Laughing slightly I shook my head and locked my pinky around hers. "Fine, but you tell anyone and we are done, no more Lilvy." I said making her look at me with the most confusion I have ever seen.
"What the hell is a Lilvy?" She asked looking like she was trying hard to figure it out in her mind.
"It's our ship-name that I have just come up with." I shrugged as though it was a normal everyday thing. "Lia and Sylvy, Lilvy." I laughed as realisation came over her face.
"That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard." She shook her head. "I love it!" She grinned making us both laugh. "Anyway, enough distractions, tell me the goss." She smirked leaning towards me as if I held the secrets to life itself.
"Well he walked me home from Molly's, as you know." I smiled thinking back. "We got back to my apartment and I don't even know what happened, we were just looking at each other and the next thing I know he's kissi-"
"Hey! You guys gotta come see this!" Otis interrupted as he quickly peered round the side of the lockers with wide eyes and a grin to match. "Come on, now!" He demanded still smiling.
Getting up we followed as he practically ran through the firehouse to the forecourt where the rest of firehouse 51 were gathered round a black car with two firefighters standing besides the boot.
"What's going on?" Casey asked as him, Kelly and Chief Boden appeared besides us.
"We've got a special delivery for you." One of the unknown fire fighters grinned as he leaned down and opened the boot. "Fresh from CFD school." He laughed as him and the other guy leant down and lifted an actual person from the boot who had been wrapped up in what looked like clingfilm.
