Chapter 7: A Nightmare and a Day

In a dream,

A young boy with brown hair was pushed to the ground hard. It was raining and he was alone with two boys and a girl, they were okamimimis. Their names are Lily, Ryan, and Chris. The boy had bruises and wounds all around him. He had trouble standing back up. He looked at them and saw the hate in their eyes.

"You shouldn't have hurt Bryan, " Chris said.

"Yeah, and you threaten him not to tell us!" Lily said.

"You should be ashamed of yourself, " Chris said.

"B-but I never did any-" the boy with brown hair said, but couldn't finish his sentence because he was kicked at the chest hard. He laid on the ground in pain, struggling to get up.

"Be quiet!" Ryan said, "I wish we weren't friends."

Those words broke the boy's heart.

"He was right. We shouldn't have trusted you, " Lily said.

"Don't go anywhere near us anymore," Chris said. The three of them then left the boy by himself.

He manages to get up, but his entire body was trembling, caused by the wounds he got plus the ones at home. Tears started to form up in his eyes. Bryan kept lying about the things that the boy never did. Now every day at school, he would get bullied by the okamimimi students and sometimes the humans at his school until first grade. But the words were stuck in his head.

"Worthless!" "Stay away from us you freak!" "You don't belong!" "You're a disgrace to our kind!" "Mistake!" "Loser!" Etc.

"Kill yourself!"

*dream end*

The last phrase woke him up. He bolted up in a sitting position. He was breathing heavily and sweating like crazy. He also had some tears in his eyes as he remembered what happened in Okinawa.

Tenma's POV:

After that nightmare, I started to calm myself down.

"Calm down Tenma. It's just a nightmare, " I mumbled to myself.

I took some deep breaths and managed to calm down. I then looked back at the dream.

"A nightmare that actually happened, " I said in my thoughts.

I sighed and I got ready for school. I waved goodbye to Aki-nee and Sasuke and ran my way to school. We didn't have morning practice today so I went to my class. When I arrived, I saw Shinsuke, Aoi, and Tsurugi. They noticed me and waved at me.

"Morning Tenma!" Shinsuke said.

"Morning guys!" I said as I walked over to them.

"Hey Tenma, did you run into Riku again today?" Tsurugi asked. I saw he was worried.

"No, not yet, don't worry, " I replied.

"Well, the class is about to start, we should get ready, " Aoi said. We nodded in response and went to our seats. The teacher then came in and started the lesson.

(Time skip, lunch)

After class, we packed our thing and got ready for lunchtime.

"Where do you guys wanna eat?" Aoi asked.

"Well, how about the cafeteria?" I suggested.

"Yeah, I didn't bring my lunch today, so it's a good idea, " Shinsuke agreed.

"Same here, " Tsurugi added.

"Well, let's go, guys, " I said and the four of us went.

We got our lunches and saw Shindou, Kirino, Midori, and Akane. They saw us and Midori waved and called us over. We went to them and sat down. We talked together and ate our lunches. I was still recalling on about the nightmare I had. But I was glad I made new friends.

"Are you guys busy on Saturday?" I asked.

"I have nothing to do on that day," Shindou replied.

"Same here," Kirino added.

"I'm busy on that day," Tsurugi said.

"Same here," Midori replied. Akane nodded in response meaning she is busy.

"I am free on that day," Shinsuke replied.

"Same too, " Aoi said, "why did you ask?"

"Well, I was thinking that all of us could hang out on that day, at the riverbank, " I replied with a smile.

"Yeah, that's a good idea, " Kirino said.

After we cleaned up and left the cafeteria. Shindou, Kirino, Midori, and Akane's class is on the floor above ours so we would meet up. Me, Tsurugi, Shinsuke, and Aoi walked to our classroom and took our seats.

After class, we grabbed our thing and ran to the soccer club. On our way there we met up with Shindou, Kirino, Midori, and Akane. So we went to the clubroom at the same time. I was the same as every day, but even if it is the same, I still had a great time.

(Time skip, Saturday)

I woke up and got ready for today, I wore my soccer uniform and I was excited to hang out with my friends. I said goodbye to Aki-nee and Sasuke. And went to the riverbank. There I met up with Shinsuke, Shindou, and Kirino.

"Ohaya mina!" I said as I approached them.

"Ohayo, " Shindou-senpai said with a smile.

"Hey, Tenma!" Shinsuke said.

I responded with a smile and said, "let's play soccer guys."

We got into teams of two, I was with Shinsuke and Shindou-senpai and Kirino-senpai are in a team.

Third POV:

Tenma dribbled forth and encountered with Shindou. Tenma passes the ball to Shinsuke and Shinsuke receives the pass. He dribbled forth, but then Kirino steals the ball from him. He then passes the ball to Shindou. He dribbles forth and Tenma tries to steal the ball. In the end, it was a success. Tenma steals the ball and dribbles forth. Kirino tries to steal the ball, but Tenma passes the ball to Shinsuke. But Shindou did a cut and steals the ball. He then passes the ball to Kirino and he dribbles forth. Suddenly Shinsuke did a sliding and gets the ball. He passes the ball to Tenma and he dribbles. He then encounters with Shindou, suddenly, a green aura appeared around Tenma for a bit. This surprised Shindou, Shinsuke, and Kirino.

Then Tenma uses his hissatsu 'Soyokaze Step' and passes Shindou. Tenma was surprised and didn't continue to dribble.

"Did I just?" Tenma mumbled in surprise.

"Tenma that was cool!" Shinsuke said as he went to Tenma.

"You did a hissatsu, " Kirino said as he and Shindou can to them.

"Good job, that could be helpful for the next match, " Shindou said with a smile.

Tenma responded with a smile. Then they heard Aoi call them. They looked and saw Aki and Aoi. Aoi was waving at them.

"It's lunchtime!" Aoi said.

Everyone took a break and went to them.

"Itadakemasu!" They said before eating.

"This is good, " Shindou said.

"Yeah, " Tenma replied.

"How are you guys doing?" Aoi asked as she poured some tea.

"We're fine, it was fun, " Shinsuke said.

"I'm glad, " Aoi said.

"Too bad Tsurugi, Midori, and Akane can't come, " Kirino said and then took a bite of his onigiri.

"Yeah, " Tenma replied.

The entire day, everyone had a good time. When it was afternoon, everyone went back to their homes. Tenma and Aki went back to the manor. Tenma petted Sasuke and then went in.

"What a day, " Tenma said in his thoughts.
