Chapter 14: Awakening

Tenma's POV:

I woke up and noticed I was in the nurse's office. I went in a sitting position and my body ached for a second. I winced at the pain and then it disappeared.

"Oh, you're awake Matsukaze, " I heard someone said, I looked around and saw a nurse.

"Hai, what happened?" I asked.

"You were bleeding at the rooftop so your friends brought you here, " she replied, "how are you feeling?"

"I'm alright, thanks, " I replied with a smile.

"Here, " the nurse said as she gave me my Raimon tracksuit.

"Where did you get it?" I asked as I took it.

"Your coach came and told me to give it to you when you wake up and tell you to go to the soccer building when you feel better, " the nurse said with a smile.

"Thanks, I feel better now so I can go, " I said with a smile.

"Alright, you are free to go, just be more careful, " the nurse replied with a smile.

"Arigato!" I said and then got out of bed and went to the bathroom and changed. While changing, I touched the wound on my back, but it was not there anymore.

"That's strange, it healed up quicker than I thought," I said in mind in confusion. After changing to my tracksuit. I ran my way to the soccer building.

~Meanwhile, seconds ago while Tenma wasn't awake yet~

Shindou's POV:

I was practicing with the team, but I was still worried about Tenma.

"Shindou, are you alright?" Kirino asked.

"Yeah, just worried, " I replied and then looked down on the floor.

"You're not the only, everyone is also worried, " Kirino said as he kicked the ball to me.

"Yeah, " I replied and I then kicked the ball to Kirino.

Shinsuke's POV:

"I hope Tenma is able to come to practice, " I said.

"Don't worry, everything will work out somehow, " Aoi said, reminding me of Tenma saying that.

I smiled in response and said, "Hai!"

"Guys, do you, hear something?" Tsurugi asked as he looked at the direction with a serious expression.

Suddenly we heard a blast. This caught all our attention. We looked at the door to the building and saw Kura and Gin on the ground. It looked like they got beaten up by someone. There was smoke so we couldn't see the person who did it. But when the smoke started to clear, we saw who it was. It was Riku, he looked different for a bit. A red and black aura surrounds him. His eyes glowing blood red. Gin tried to stand up.

"R-Riku, snap out of it, " Gin said. We saw Riku face him and he raised his hand. He releases his claws and was about to scratch Gin.

Shindou-senpai reacted and used 'Fortissimo'. Riku saw the ball coming and he sliced it into three pieces like it was nothing. Me and the others were shocked by this.

"H-how did he?" Akane stuttered.

"No way, " I said in shock and I was kinda afraid.

Third POV:

"Re..venge, " they heard Riku said. His eyes glowed brighter.

"Quick! Someone use a hissatsu!" Endou said as he gets ready in case something happens.

But before anyone could react. Riku raised his claws and it glowed red and black. He slashed and a beam was created. Everyone was shocked. It destroyed some of the field and hurt the people there. Some of them were bleeding and they were very injured they couldn't get up.

"W-what do you want from us?!" Midori asked still injured unable to get up.

"Des.. Troy, " Riku said as he walked towards them.

"That. Isn't Riku, he isn't himself!" Kura said as he managed to get up. Riku turned to him menacingly.

"Riku! Snap out of it buddy!" Kura shouted hoping to get his friend back. But it didn't work. Instead, Riku dashed towards Kura and punches him in the stomach.

"Kura!" Gin shouted. Kura now lays on the ground in pain. Riku turns to the Raimon players.

"This must be Nemesis' doing, " Endou said in his mind.

Meanwhile with Jain and Leo,

Leo's POV:

Me and Jain were watching the scene and I smirked.

"That's a lot of hate he has, " I said.

"I agree, I guess I will disable my power now, I'm getting kinda bored. I don't think they are gonna show up anytime soon-," Jain said as she is about to snap. I then saw someone running to the soccer building, very fast.

"Wait, don't!" I said and stopped Jain from snapping her fingers.

"Why?" Jain asked while looking at me with a questioned look.

I pointed to the person and she looks. It was Matsukaze Tenma.

~Seconds ago~

Tenma's POV:

I was running my way to the soccer building when I heard a blast. I stopped and looked through a window. I saw the soccer building had smoke and the door was broken.

"What happened? Wait, don't tell me that, oh no," I said in my mind.

I immediately ran to the soccer building as quickly as I could to go check if everything is alright. As I ran I heard another blast and I got more worried, I was more afraid of what might have happened. Are the others alright?

When I finally arrived, I couldn't believe what I saw. Everyone was on the ground, injured and some of them were bleeding. I looked at who done this, it was Riku, but he had a red and black aura surrounding him, something didn't feel right. He turned to me menacingly. I couldn't move a bit from the horror.

"Tenma! Run!" I heard Midori shout.

But before I could react, Riku appeared before and punched me in the stomach. I was sent flying back. I then hit the ground hard and I had a hard time getting up. I suddenly felt a liquid on my arm and when I looked, I saw it was blood. I soon manage to stand up, but my legs were shaking. I looked and saw my friends, it was at that moment, I felt like something inside me was, awakening. I clenched my hand into a fist as I looked down a bit.

"You, did this, didn't you?" I said, "Why, Riku..?"

Riku didn't make eye contact and had his claws out. He then raised his hand and was aiming at my friends. His claws started to glow red and black. I know I have to do something, or else he would.. I started to feel an aura around me, and something within me has triggered.

"Stay away from them!" I shouted at Riku as I lifted my head to look at him.

Third POV:

As Tenma said that, a white aura surrounds him. This caught Riku's attention and he turned to him. Suddenly, a bright light appeared so everyone closed their eyes. When they opened them, they were shocked. Tenma suddenly had wolf ears and tail. He opened his eyes and instead of metallic blue, it was red. His injuries also disappeared as he seemingly glared at Riku.

"You will pay for hurting them, " Tenma said and his eyes glowed a little bit.

~Meanwhile with Jain and Leo~

They were shocked by the sight.

"It was him, " Leo mumbled.

Jain then grinned, "this is gonna be interesting."
