Tenma's POV:

I opened my eyes and all I saw was like a black void. I managed to stand up and looked around. No one or nothing was there.

"Hello there, " I heard a voice, I recognized it. It was the one I heard in the match and sometimes soccer practice. I swiftly looked behind me and saw her.

She was also human, like me. She seems to be my age and she has yellow fade to red hair.

"Sorry to startle you," she said with a smile.

"It's alright," I said smiling back, "Uhm, who are you?"

"I'm Etsuko Nozomi, you can call me Nozomi if you want," she said, "nice to meet you."

I smiled in response and said, "I'm Ma-"

As I was about to introduce myself, she interrupted.

"Your Matsukaze Tenma right?" Nozomi said. I was surprised by this.

"How did you-" I was about to ask, then she interrupted again.

"I've been watching over you and yes, I'm the one who was talking to you in your mind before," she said with a smile. Her expression then changed.

"Oh, I'm sorry for interrupting you a lot," she said as she bowed. She then straightens back up.

"No, it's alright, you don't have to apologize," I replied.

"Oh ok," Nozomi said.

"Anyway, I have a question. Where are we?" I asked as I looked around a little bit.

"Oh, we're in your mind. You still unconscious though," Nozomi said. I faced her in a surprised.

A light then suddenly appears in front of us. Nozomi smiled and looked at me.

"Well, I guess it's time for you to wake up. Talk to you later, Tenma. And also, don't tell anyone about me until I say so," Nozomi said.

Before I could say anything, the light burst and everything became white.

*In reality*

I woke up and found myself in the hospital office. I saw my friends, coach Endou, and Otonashi-sensei.

"Tenma, your awake, how are you feeling?" coach Endou.

"I'm fine, thanks," I replied, "what happened?" I asked as I got in a sitting position.

"You don't remember?" Shindou-senpai asked. I nodded in response.

"All I remember was seeing everyone injured," I replied, "how are you guys?"

"We okamimimis heal up faster than humans, so we're alright," Nishiki-senpai said.

"I'm glad you guys are alright," I said with a smile.

"Tenma-Kun," Otonashi-sensei said, I looked at her in confusion.

"Just a question, where are your parents?" Otonashi-sensei asked.

"They live in Okinawa, why Otonashi-sensei?" I asked still confused. Everyone was silent when Tsurugi broke the silence.

"The doctor said your injuries healed up 2 times faster than a normal human, not exactly okamimimi, but the doctor also said you also had a bit of okamimimi blood. Although your mostly considered human since 98% of you have human blood and 2% of you have okamimimi blood. So who are your parents?" Tsurugi said.

I didn't respond for a bit, then I finally said, "well, my mother is human while my father. Is an okamimimi."

Everyone was surprised by what I said.
