Falling for a Furry: A Great Change

Ambush

A new sunny morning rises above Glassbec. Still asleep, Sophia is startled by a knock on her bedroom door. She rushes to it and opens it, but only a crack. She and Jackson had fallen asleep talking and he was still in her room.
Mrs Wolfe: "Sophia?"
Sophia: "Good morning, Ma."
Mrs. Wolfe: "Is there someone else in there with you?"
Sophia: "What? No, it is just me and little Tia. She got scared so I told her a story last night. She fell asleep and I couldn't move her back."
Mrs. Wolfe: "Are you sure? I heard another voice coming from your room when I got up for a glass of water."
Sophia: "It was an audiobook."
Mrs. Wolfe: "Are you telling the truth?"
Sophia: "Okay, I snuck my friend in and we both fell asleep."
Mrs. Wolfe: "A human?"
Sophia: "Yes."
Mrs. Wolfe: "You know your father and I would not approve of this."
Sophia: "I know Dad has his view of humans, but Jackson is different."
Mrs. Wolfe: "He is not a furry and you should not be with him, period."
Sophia: "Jackson actually cares about me and Tia like he would if his own family was here."
Mrs. Wolfe: "What happened to you and Bruno? I thought you were with him."
Sophia: "Bruno doesn't even care about where I go or about my feelings, because he is too busy with his extracurricular activities to call or chat with me. Jackson actually took the time to get to know me. But I'm not going out with him. He already has a girlfriend. Taciana."
Mr. Wolfe: "Sophia Wolfe, why is there a human boy in your room?"
Sophia: "Daddy please don't hurt him!"
Mr. Wolfe: "We specifically forbade you from sneaking anyone in the house without our approval!"
Jackson and Tia wake up from the yelling.
Jackson: "Sophie, what's with the shouting?"
Tia: "Morning, Mommy and Daddy."
Mr. Wolfe: "Hey honey, did you sleep well?"
Tia: "Yeah, Mr. Jackson helped Sophia tell me a good story last night."
Mr. Wolfe: "Really?"
Tia: "Yup."
Mrs. Wolfe: "Why don't you head downstairs? You too, Sophia."
Sophia: "Come on Tia."
Tia: "What will happen to Mr. Jackson?"
Sophia: "He will be okay as long as Dad doesn't kick him out."
Mrs. Wolfe follows them downstairs to give out their breakfast, while Mr. Wolfe stays in the room speak with Jackson.
Mr. Wolfe: "So, a human, eh?"
Jackson: "Yes, sir."
Mr. Wolfe: "I am not necessarily supporting this at all, Jackson. You humans had a bad reputation. You nearly destroyed this place."
Jackson: "I overheard the conversation while I was trying to sleep. I would never hurt Sophia at all and I would do anything to prove it."
Mr. Wolfe: "There is one way to prove you are worthy of my trust."
Jackson: "Really? What is it?"
Mr. Wolfe: "You have to become a furry."
Jackson: "Fair deal, Mr. Wolfe. Where do I have to go to turn into one?"
Mr. Wolfe: "The process will have to take place on the sacred mountain of light."
Jackson: "Alright, I will do it."
Mr. Wolfe: "Good lad. Now let's head down."
The two head downstairs to join the others in the kitchen.
Sophia: "Hey Jacky, I have one last piece of bacon. Wanna share?"
Jackson: "Sure."
Tia: "Sister?"
Sophia: "What is on your mind, Tia?"
Tia: "Does Jackson have a home?"
Sophia: "Yes, he lives with our neighbors, the Rabeaus."
Jackson: "Oh right, I have to go back to the Rabeau's guest house."
Sophia: "Call me later, J.T."
.......Few Minutes Later.......
As Jackson is walking back to the Rabeau's house, a group of three furries including a wolf, coyote and a bear follow then surround him.
Jackson: "What's up guys?"
Louie Coyote : "What's going on here is that Bruno wants to talk."
Cyprus Bear: "Yeah, human."
Bruno Sullivan: "Jackson Tontione, right?"
Jackson: "Yeah and who's asking?"
Bruno: "Name's Bruno Sullivan."
Jackson: "What do you want with me?"
Bruno: "He asked about what I want. Isn't that funny boys? What I want is for you to stop seeing my girlfriend Sophia, fool. You feel me?"
Jackson: "I don't know what you are talking about."
Bruno: "Don't even play that card! I caught you two on tape by the pond together."
Jackson: "If you really cared about her, then maybe she wouldn't have come to me."
Bruno: "You human scum!"
Jackson: "You will have to be quicker than that."
Bruno: "Say goodnight, human!"
The two fight. Jackson is evading Bruno, but finally Bruno trips Jackson. As he sprawls on the ground, Sophia rushes up, running to help Jackson.
Sophia: "Bruno, stop!"
Bruno: "Get out of my way, Sophia! How could you do this to me?"
Sophia: "I guess I see how you really are, you jerk! Jackson and I are just friends. Jackson! Are you alright?"
Jackson: "I am fine Sophie."
Sophia: "I will take care of Bruno, while you head back to Taciana's house."
Jackson: "You got it."
Bruno: "Oh, I'm going to turn him into mincemeat!"
Sophia: "That's enough Bruno. I have already moved on from you."
She takes the camera with the video footage of her and Jackson and crushes it to pieces.
Bruno: "That was my best camera!"
Sophia: "Then you should've taken better care it."
Bruno: "You are really choosing that human for a friend over me?"
Sophia: "Yes I am. Do you know why, Bruno?"
Bruno: "Why?"
Sophia: "Jackson actually cares about me, listens to my problems, offers good advice, and wanted to know the real me the moment I met him. Plus, I am done with your overly violent behavior. Not to mention you are spending too much of your time after school on things other than me!"
Bruno: "Come on Soph. I just wanted to surprise you this weekend."
Sophia: "Oh, so now I'm suddenly more important than your sports tryouts, after ignoring me for five weeks?"
Bruno: "I was busy working on getting a track scholarship!"
He shoves her to the ground angrily. Sophia picks herself up off the ground and brushes the dirt off of her dress. Bruno offers his hand to help her up.
Bruno: "Soph, I didn't mean to do that. Come on, you know me."
Sophia: "If this is how you treat others, then I say we're done."
Bruno: "Whatever. I am out of here. Let's go boys. But all you goody-goodys are going to regret it. You'll see. Me and the boys have a plan."
