FOUR YEARS
LATER

Four years had passed and everything seemed to be well in Edward's reign. He now had three daughters with the queen. Three daughters that even Nora had to admit were adorable. Lizzie, Mary, and Cecily.

With Nora, though, Edward had four children. Arthur, who was now seven. Elizabeth, who was now five. Thomas, who was now four. And lastly, little Grace, who was only a little more than two years old.

In the courtyard of Westminster, Edward ran around with Arthur, Elizabeth, and Thomas. The three children giggled as their father chased them around while Nora sat off to the side, holding little Grace in her arms.

Edward stopped briefly, turning to gaze at Nora. The Lancastrian woman soon noticed and tilted her head at him, giving him a playful look. "Are you spying?" She jokingly asked him.

"Well, a spy would deny being a spy," Edward joked as well, earning a playful eye roll from Nora.

Just moments later, Nora continued to stand off to the side as Edward spent time with his son and eldest daughter. She smiled as she watched on and every once in awhile, she noticed Edward would turn to briefly before turning his attention back to Elizabeth, Thomas, and Arthur.

Thomas and Arthur stood in front of each other, holding up sparring swords as Elizabeth stood close to them, taunting them about how they both were horrible at using a sword.

Edward tried his hardest not to laugh at his daughter's remarks, despite finding them funny.

She mostly picked on Thomas, seeing as though despite being constantly taught how to spar, Arthur was always much better at it. However, he was older than Thomas, he had more practice.

"You think you could do it better, Lizbeth?" Edward suddenly questioned, turning his attention toward Elizabeth.

He had expected his daughter to shake her head and refuse to take part but she didn't. She smiled confidently, keeping her head up high as she nodded. "Yes, Father. I think I can," She answered and Nora frowned where she stood with Grace.

She slowly walked closer, watching as Elizabeth took the sword from Thomas. She tightly grasped the wooden sword in her hand, turning to face her elder brother.

Edward was on the verge of warning Arthur to go easy on his sister, but the duo had already began sparring.

Edward and Nora studied the duo closely, watching in shock as Elizabeth ended up winning by striking Arthur on the stomach with the sword. It wasn't because she was better with a sword, either. It was because she managed to dodge all his forms of attack until finding the right moment when he was distracted to strike him. She was strategic about it, which was something they had no expected out of their daughter.
