That afternoon, Nora sat in the privy council room with Richard, Duchess Cecily, and Anne Neville when Brackenbury and Buckingham arrived with news. Nora ignored the pitiful looks she was being given by those who stood before her. Her eyes were still red, but she didn't care. Her son was right. She needed to remain strong.

"They're all in the Abbey, apart from Thomas Grey," Brackenbury informed the group in a calm tone, referring to Elizabeth and her children.

"We have intercepted a letter from him to his uncle, Edward Rivers," Buckingham added in as he handed Nora the letter to read.

"The Lord Admiral," Richard realized as Nora read over the message before handing it to Richard.

"They wish to 'ready' the fleet," Buckingham told the duo, whose eyes widened in shock.

"Arrest the Lord Admiral and Thomas Grey for treason," Nora demanded and as co-regent alongside Richard, she did, for once, have valid say. It wasn't like when she used to stand beside Edward, helping him bark orders. This time, she had power in her own right, but in truth, it didn't feel right.

She was so used to working on the sidelines, not being right smack in the middle of it as she was at that moment. It was unbearable.

"She's right," Richard spoke up, agreeing with Nora, "We can't have them plotting against us. Rally the men, all of them."

Buckingham and Brackenbury immediately nodded, just before leaving the room. Once they were gone, Nora remained content while Richard sighed in frustration.

Cecily glanced around at each person in the room, waiting for someone to speak up, which she knew they would.

"Why?" Richard suddenly asked, causing Nora to turn in her seat to look at him, "Why would Elizabeth do this?"

"Because she's devious and there's no way she's giving up that throne without a fight," Cecily explained in a venomous tone, "When will you finally accept that she will always be a threat for as long as her son is not the one sitting on the throne?"

"She could buy an army with those riches," Anne spoke up, referring to the riches Elizabeth had stolen from the castle before fleeing to sanctuary.

Nora scoffed loudly. "And who would willingly side with her?" She questioned with an attitude, "The nobles hated her. They still do. They think her a witch. What I don't understand is why she went into sanctuary? She knows me well enough to know I would never harm her children. I saved them more than once during their lives. I would never harm them. It was Richard's idea to lock her son Edward in the tower, not mine."

"You have a short memory, Nora," Anne spoke up, rising from her seat as she made her way over to where Richard and Nora sat, "She called up a mist to conceal the York army's advance upon my father's forces at Barnet the last time she was there. You must guards yourself against your ways," She paused, glancing between Richard and Nora, "Both of you. Protect yourself and the King's legacy."
