Nora was escorted into her son's office, one that used to be Edward's. She had been led in by two of Arthur's guards but the moment she entered the room, they walked out and closed the doors behind them, leaving Nora to alone with her son, the King.

Nora found herself glancing around, thinking about all the memories she and Edward had in that room. Both good and bad. It seemed as though every single part of London held a memory she shared with Edward.

She recalled the day Lord Warwick sat at the same desk her son was at that moment. She remembered the way she snapped at Warwick when he claimed that Edward didn't love her. She had been pregnant with Arthur at the time. It had been just hours after nearly being drowned in the bathtub and just minutes before finding out she was to marry Arthur Neville. Not to mention, just a few hours away from secretly marrying Edward to make her marriage to Arthur Neville invalid.

That didn't end up working, though. She still had to be "married" to Arthur Neville for nearly two years.

She sighed in defeat, snapping herself out of her thoughts as she walked forward, closer to her firstborn.

She barely recognized him lately. He was nothing like the sweet boy she raised. The power and title given to him had changed him and not for the better.

It was the fate of kings. The crown placed upon their heads had two fates. One, it made them better or two, it made them worse and power-hungry.

Edward had been lucky enough to have the first fate happen to him while Nora feared their son was experiencing the second one.

"You asked for me?" She suddenly asked, turning to finally look her son in the eyes.

He looked like Edward as he sat in that damn chair and behind that damned desk that was covered in documents he was expected to sign that day.

They were scattered everywhere, which differed from the way their father used to have them. However, that was only because Nora herself used to sit there for hours and sort them for Edward.

Edward would sit there beside her, smiling as he attempted to continue on with his work and instead found himself admiring her. He used to mock her and claim she was acting like such a mother, even before Arthur had been born.

She smiled at the thought but it soon faded when she saw the look on her son's face and the way he sat before her.

Now, that made him look like the exact opposite of his father.

Arthur sat in a way that made Nora think he was better than everyone, even his own mother. It looked as though he found himself feeling superior to her.

Edward never did that. He did the opposite.

She remembered the first day she was in that office. Edward had summoned her in order to give her back her father's lands. She was nothing more than the daughter of the king's bastard back then, but still, Edward, who was king at the time, sat before her as though they were equals.
