I shove a plastic red cup inside the stack I already had inside my hand. After placing the stack of sticky cups inside the garbage can, I turn my attention to the bowls of potato chip crumbs on the counter.

Jess returns from taking the overflowing trash out.

"Ugh," she says, throwing herself onto the couch dramatically as I set the mostly empty bowls in the sink to be washed, "this is why I always go to parties! I hate cleaning up after these pigs."

"Oh, God forbid you have to c-clean!" I gasp in horror, turning on the water to rinse out the bowls.

"Shut up," she says, sitting up on the armrest of the couch before letting out an exhausted sigh. "Where'd Mr. Styles wander off to?"

"He wasn't feeling well, so I told him to go lie down," I inform her, turning off the faucet.

"Drank too much, I'm assuming?" she asks, pushing herself up off the couch.

I walk over to the kitchen island to get the half-eaten fruit trays. I wrap a piece of tinfoil over the top of it to preserve the contents, hoping someone might want to eat them later so they wouldn't go to waste.

"That would be my guess," I say, shrugging.

"Lils," Jess says hesitantly, joining me in the kitchen, "I couldn't help but notice that you didn't have anything thing to drink tonight. Not a single drop of alcohol."

"Yeah, and?" I say closing the refrigerator door. She stands with her arms crossed and one eyebrow raised accusingly.

"Why didn't you?" She looks me up and down not moving from her position.

"Because I didn't want to." I shrug, thinking the fact that I didn't drink at the party wasn't a big deal. But it was the end of the world to Jess for some odd reason.

I grab a towel from a nearby drawer, dampening it before I begin to wipe down the countertop.

"Lili," Jess says, her voice serious, "you know you can tell me anything, right?"

I laugh and look up at her briefly, shaking my head as I scrub a blob of...something off the counter.

"Yeah, Jess," I say, carrying the rag to the sink, carelessly tossing it in there to deal with later. "Why are you all of the sudden bringing that up?"

"Lili," Jess says, narrowing her eyes, "Is there...anything you might want to tell me?"

I search my mind.

I couldn't think of a single thing that I hadn't told her yet. Unless you want to count what happened in London. Or what happened in Steamboat.

"No," I say, shrugging. I place my hands on the counter behind me, leaning on them as I face Jess.

"Are you sure?"

"What are you implying here, Jess?"

She walks around the island so she could stand in front of me. She reaches forward and places one of her hands on my shoulder and smiles, all as if she was trying to comfort me.

"You're pregnant, aren't you?" She asks finally.

"Excuse me?!" My eyes grow wide. I lift her hand up off my shoulder and she lets it fall back down to her side.

"Come on," Jess laughs lightly, "It's totally obvious. It would explain the lack of alcohol, the clinginess toward Harry, your constant mood swings, and—I wasn't gonna say anything—but, I've noticed your face getting fatter."
