"Mikee should be there by now. Enjoy!" I text Jaime, my smile growing wider as I type each letter.

I can’t believe that I actually set them up! Jaime could thank me later. She’s too busy blushing to even contact me right now. Imagining the look on her face, I couldn’t stop myself from laughing.

Being an all around good girl, Jaime wanted to learn the new steps as quickly as possible. I promised to teach her and basically, I did. I sent her a teacher, the one that she dreams about. Mikee smiled at the thought of it and instantly agreed. I bet he doesn’t even suspect me.

Aside from tricking Jaime, I am looking forward to my weekend. Who would’ve thought that I love Saturday this much? After all the tiring work in school, I deserve my day-off and I’ve planned to spend it with my new neighbor. She interested me yesterday with her strange but sweet aura. As a bonus, we might even be great friends.

I sneak out of the house, not because of my parents but because of Andy. Unlike normal kids, Andy does not sleep in during weekends.  I’m starting to assume that it is just to annoy me.  He would always want me to play with him this early. Thus, I could never escape.

But it would be different today. I tiptoe out the door as silent as possible. There’s no sign of Andy so my plan might actually work!

With one last step out, something interrupts me. No, Andy did not pull me back. It is my mom’s cooking. It smells so good that I almost drool on cue. I couldn’t skip her specialty so I stay until breakfast. I savor every bite while still trying my best to hurry.

Luckily, Andy is still missing in action so I peacefully get out.

As if it was destined, I see Katie outside our house with her little sister. Her sister runs in to find Andy so Katie is left with me.

“Want to go out?” I ask her with a smile.

She looks hesitant but she eventually agrees.

“Where are we going?” Katie asks.

“I was thinking of eating.” I answer honestly.

Katie rolls her eyes and asks “Didn’t you just have breakfast?”

“You can’t argue with my stomach.” I reply, pointing to my not-so-stuffed belly.

“Pig!” she teases me.

I am surely mistaken when I branded her as someone shy and timid. Katie has her wacky side which she is slowly opening up to me.

As we eat at a coffee shop near by, I discover more about Katie. She’s used to people getting a wrong impression of her, whether being shy or snobbish. I don’t know if I’ve read Katie’s personality correctly for the short time that we’ve been together but I can say that I click with her. We don’t totally have everything in common. Instead, we have clashing views that makes things more interesting than it really is.

With our tummies stuffed and a whole day ahead, we decide to rock the mall and watch a movie.

Katie easily releases the uneasy tension around us by tagging along wherever I drag her off to. She constantly calls me ‘pig’ which would be something that I’d remember her by. I take that as a compliment because I know a dozen of films where pigs look so adorable. With that analogy, she must think that I’m cute.

Oh who am I kidding? She calls me pig because I eat a lot and talk about food. Frankly, I’m okay with it.

We enter the cinema to watch a movie about a married couple and a slut that ruined their relationship. It is the best movie that I’ve ever laid my eyes on. It isn’t advisable to kids though because there were a lot of touchy scenes. I pity the legal wife so much. She had to go through all the pain of losing a husband. I pity myself too. I had to go through all the pain of losing a bucket of popcorn to Katie.
