Chapter 31: Royal Birthday (Princess' Side)

“Hey, keep it down!” I mumble, still half asleep.

I hear the noise of giggles and laughter just nearby. Someone must be having a party nearby though it is still dark outside. I mean, who parties at four or five in the morning? I’m sure that it’s not me! I won’t wake up this early just to celebrate and tire myself. I’ve been through a rough day yesterday and I’m looking for another one today because of the practice. I’ll need all the sleep that I can get.

“Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you… Happy birthday… Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you!” the singing gets louder and louder.

I want to shout at the noisy neighbors. I am actually trying to rest here. I don’t even remember anyone who lives here that invited for his or her birthday. If it is Katie, she would’ve told me.

Whose freaking birthday is it?

“Princess, wake up! We’re all here to greet you!” A voice shouts near my bedside window.

It’s my birthday?

I literally jump out of bed as my surprise guests laugh at my reaction.

What are they doing here, waking me up like that? It actually makes my heart race so early. What time is it? I need to look fine. They didn’t see me in pajamas, did they? What should I do now?

I should really stop asking so many questions.

I grab my phone to check the time. As I look at the screen, I see a message from Kit.

“Cousin, you know how I love to sleep in during weekends. I love you too but my eyes won’t want to wake up. Your friends would be there by now. Happy Birthday! –super hot, Kit” it says.

Closing the message, I discover that it is indeed five in the morning.

I start fixing my bed while trying to comb my hair. Yes, I am in panic.

The girls – Katie, Jaime, Terresse, Julianne and Michelle run to my room as soon as they got in the house. They begin teasing me about I haven’t taken a bath, about how slow I am and about my sleeping attire. This makes me feel more confused on what to do first.

Eventually, they head to the living room where they wait for me.

I decide to change into presentable clothes just to enable me to get out of my room without feeling awkward. My top is too loose and revealing than usual and my bottom is only a loose blue short. I change only my top into a dark blue jersey, thinking that I would take a bath soon anyway.

Removing the sand in my eyes, I get out of my room and head outside to get the towel that I would use after taking a bath.

I pass by the living room to find all of my unexpected guests talking to themselves. Besides the girls, Jake, Raven, Kyle and Mikee are here.

My eyes widen when I discover that… Vince is also present!

Luckily, Michelle is beside me so I pull her to cover my embarrassing outfit. Vince has seen me in my sleepwear during the sleepover but his smirk makes me feel so ashamed! The way his smile forms on his lips makes him look so arrogant!

And I hate it.

Michelle is shocked at my sudden grip of her but she giggles when she realizes the reason for such action.
